  • Yeah, 8 and one half years- very amazing considering the problems- it's so amazing that it didn't even happen. The United States has big problems- why is the NSA/CIA allowed to create and control companies like Google? Isn't it wonderful to figure out why GOOGLE has been charged with this meme of getting a rover to the moon? Will it ever be launched? Could it ever be sent anywhere near the "landing sites"- cover-ups that last for generations- absolutely typical- we are doomed.

  • @hozayamz lmao

  • Want to know why?

Because allmost all the North American goverments are corrupt, I live in North America, and I have noticed this, allmost all the Goverments in North America are more conservative, thye dont like to change our old ways.

  • @flightrulez

Wow if Canada and the US are so corrupt why don't you go live in Mexico or South America or Africa and get back to us on how great it is there?

  • Hello, well obviously you are not geographicly educated because Mexico is part of North America, there is no argument there, sure America's Goverment is now a Liberal party, but they have not changed much, and Canada and Mexico's goverments are still conservative goverments.

  • @flightrulez i mentioned Mexico as being distinct from South America you're just being an argumentative butthole

  • Thank you for the Lunar xprize very much!!!

But let me say a few things.

You can not compare earth computer advancement with our current progress status of human exploration of the universe.

When it comes to space there enters another factor called "heartiness" or "survivability." It takes 10 or more generations of computing earth progress to equate to one level of microbe/life progress when it comes to "ability to cross a radiated vaccuum." Please keep in mind, "radiated vaccuum."

  • I thought it was sad to until I came to the realization that are technology is limited. We havent had a big leap since the 1960's to allow for further space travel soley because were relying on combustible fuel that can only go maybe 20K miles per hour in space which is like a snail walking across the united states.. NASA and the government came to the conclusion as well and found future missions pointless unless they eventually develop tehcnology that travels in light speed AKA as a miracle

  • ha look at the youtube sign in the top left corner of the webpage its so cool!!!!

  • And I suppose we never launched a space shuttle/ rock into space either? the moon aint that far away that it wouldnt be possible for us to get there.. Your logic is rediculous.. YOur clearly still living in the stone age

  • Hey shithead,

You act like a little dickhead everywhere, don't you? What the fuck do you know anything about rockets. Here you acting like you know something.

You can't even spell ridiculous. You're a dumbfuck.

  • Do the science? isn't that hypocritical.

  • If you do the math, to coordinate distance traveled on earth with time of flight for a ballistic trajectory, you would have to slow film speed down to 1/2.5. But this would leave your astronauts moving around in unconvincing slow motion. This explains why you never see the astronauts throw a rock or moon dust or throw a dollar bill back and forth on the moon. It was something they just couldn't fake.

  • Why dont you do the match by deducing that we put rockets, space shuttles, space stations, and hubble telescopes out into space so what would be the big deal to getting to the moon which is only 250K miles away? its not like its another solar system.. Reason we havent gone back is due to finance and stagnant technology which is still slow for manned space travel..

  • Peter,

It's time to go. Why not fund taking up Apollo technology? Why re-invent the wheel? Just build a new three-stage tube-stack with a bigger payload section and better metallurgy and get there in 3 or 4 years?

  • Because reinventing the wheel is the only practical thing to do.. Rocket propelled combustible fuel is slow which makes it pointless to travel to the mooon or Mars.. We did it back then because we could and it was there. Now we need to figure out how to get there and beyond faster which will take an engineering innovation of Einstien proportions

  • Gyro Fuckhead,

A piss-ass fuckhead racist like you shouldn't have access to internet, let alone voice your shitty opinions. What the fuck do you know about engineering or Einstein?

There you go. You can't even spell Einstein. How sorry is that? ROFL!

  • Good luck to all the teams competing for the Google Lunar X-Prize! I hope this wakes up people who are otherwise indifferent to space exploration. Hopefully this competition spurs a new space race for the 21st century.
