  • Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge =)

  • Wow all this time of not watching Thread banger after the others left and I stumble back onto it...dang...I miss them.

  • Wow! I love it! I have been searching for someone explaining how to do this, like...for ever! I feel really happy and I'm gonna try this soon. Thank you! You rock! <3 ^O^

  • do you have any other video on patterens

  • this is fab more pattern making tutorials please :)

  • Love it thanks

  • Uhm I thought the back of a tank top differs from the front of one

  • its easier to trace your tank top and then refine it after measuring your body

  • why would you start drawing the shoulder from the neck pit line?

  • the shoulder part is confusing.

  • the top line should be 3 " below the top of the paper.

  • Fantastic! Thanks for this tutorial, very useful! Will definitely be giving this a go. You're obviously a very talented young lady.

  • thanks! it's very useful :)

  • Where your erm.... nipples are.

    XD!!

  • Love these.. but i wish more of them were for us guys...

  • made one, havent used it yet but DEF. WILL

  • @natashablizard Ok.. what is the way easier way? I'd love to know.

  • I have always loved her sewing tutorials. I am a fan of threadbanger and of her. I would never disrespect her because she has mad talent. I love how easy it is to follow her videos and how beautiful her clothes end up. I wish I had half her talent!

  • So is this just the front half of the tank top pattern?

So one needs to make two full patterns, correct?

  • Thank you! Awesome :)

  • so.. we're making a sloper right?

  • I tried this but I got confused with the top of the bust... The length of the very top to the bust is really short lol D:

  • i did this and it looked soooo cute :) i made it into a halter top with the ribbon and it was awesome!!

  • i guess the super easy way to make it is to take an existing tank top, fold it vertically in half and trace. measure to make sure the pattern is correct and adjust as needed.

  • @pepelondon Yeah but this does say a custom tank, so to your own measurements. Plus the basic pattern making was also useful

  • If I try to use this pattern is not going to work right? It is just a base with my mesures and I would need to translate it into an actual pattern?

  • your doing an awesome job....i know it hasnr been easy since the old crew poofed out but despite what the haters say..you are doing a good job.....keep it up..

  • that was a very good explanation well done thank you tehila i would love to see nore how to make custom pattern

  • that was a very good explanation well done thank you tehila

  • gonna try this

  • helpful!

  • how could you hate on her she is just so nice and kind

  • i loveed this video

  • I don't want to be a hater but this pattern will not work - the neckline will be really wide because if you watch closely she measures it to the outside of the strap. I really wish I could find the correct way to do it!

  • @Dagnycity yep... i made that mistake too. crapola.

  • and can u make a video on how to make a tank top with this pattern pls ;]

  • it looks really big once you put the two parts together.. or is it really just like that?

  • wow i jus luved this!!ths is jus d thng i had been looking for...:)...thnx

  • @sheni87 totally agree w/u had same problem

  • love the examples and step by step instructions, they are easy to follow for a beginner like myself, thanks~

  • Hi :] none of the shops where I live sell this 't-shirt' type stretch material, does anyone know what I can type into ebay to make sure I get the right stuff... or like thicker for hoodies? thanks :]

  • @aWierdo Had you try fabric .com they fabric typr listed and they close out stuff is price great.

  • @valablu thanks :] i'll check it out

  • you should make a basic pant pattern tutorial,

    like this one,

so that you have an entire outfit to play around with!

  • @everysinglenothing just take a pair of pants that fit well fold them in half (lengthwise) and trace around them.

  • I don't know if anyone has tried making a tank top out of this tutorial and experienced measurement problems, but mine came out really big, especially around the neck and shoulder area. If you look back to how she measured herself from the center neck to where the tank top ends...that was the measurement in which she used to make the neck line. Isn't that supposed to mark where the tank top ends not used to make the neck? Mine came out really wide.

  • @shennie87 I'm trying to make the pattern right now and I have noticed that too... I'm kinda confused o.O

  • love the tutorial, very useful. if you widen the shoulders you could use thsi to make a t-shirt.

  • thank you soooo much!

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!

  • After reading negative comments I just want to add my two cents and say Thank you!! I love this and I am very excited to try out my own pattern!

  • Thank you! That was really helpful, I always have trouble with pattern making lol I got so annoyed at drawing out the 5/8 seam allowance around my patterns, that I taped two pencils with an piece of eraser in between so it measures the exact seam allowance lol Thanks for your hard work, I'm really grateful ^-^

  • awesome lesson thx!

but what happened to the other chick and guy who used to run the show? im thankful that the channel is still making good videos tho.

  • Thank you! I am a visual learner too. This tutorial is so helpful! and for the people that are insulting you: Please stop watching if you don´t like this channel. Get over it! Threadbanger is changing! Seriously! it gets tiring all their carry on...

  • Thanks, this is going to be very helpful!

  • Great video! I do a lot of sewing and tailor to my own measurements a lot already, but this was a great lesson on actually making paper patterns (which I'm often too lazy to do, lol). You give clear and well-delivered instructions, and your tutorials are both useful and entertaining, so don't listen to the haters online. As a Threadbanger fan from way back, I can say you're a delightful addition!

  • This was your best yet on ThreadBanger. I make my own patterns and this was an excellent method.

  • I really liked your tutorial...thank you for making it for us beginners

  • You threadbanger people are a bunch of ungrateful assholes. Guess what? She is providing a FREE service to you uncreative morons and yet I am reading "Wow the content of your videos are IMPROVING" go get some brains and take a sewing class if you don't like the ones you see on here, jesus.

  • :) When I'm doing the bust measurement, I describe it as "the widest part of your bust" or "chest" for masculine folk. I'm already a sewist, and have created some lovely garments, but haven't advanced enough to create patterns on my own. I appreciate the detail you've put into this, as well as your use of plain language so everyone can understand! Excellent.

  • Can you make more men clothing....

  • @thatsgogogo oh i think she's been trying to make more men clothing. give her some time to adjust and think. i think this tutorial is a little bit more masculine than the others. :)

  • You're my favorite on thread banger bio nerd :)

  • It was kind of confusing at first, but after everything came together it was actually quite simple. I've been trying to find a certain tank but I'm not having much luck, now I can make it myself!

  • I've been scouring the internet on how to make a pattern for JUST THIS THING, and the week after, you make this. I love you! er.. the tutorial. THANK YOU!

  • Best video ever!!!!!!

  • I think you are so adorable bionerd. GUH!

  • BioNerd, can you teach us how to resize Pants? Because, I lost weight, and then my favorite pair of skinny jeans no longer fit, and I'm constantly pulling them up.

    So, PLEASE!!!!!!!

  • @stuffrocks123 hi there! corrine has made a video on how to do that already. If u check out my install zipper on side of pants..there is a link to that video!

  • @stuffrocks123 corrinne did a video on that- one of the last videos the old team made. Bionerd even referenced it her zipper jeans tutourial.

  • @stuffrocks123 hey there i found this episode that Corinne did earlier in the year - im going to inbox you

  • @stuffrocks123 how skinny are u

  • @stuffrocks123 there is a older video by threadbanger that corinne made on how to resize your pants or bleach them

  • @stuffrocks123 There already is a vid on that up on threadbanger.

  • @stuffrocks123 there is actually already a Threadbanger video about how to do that!

  • @stuffrocks123 I know! I lost 10lb this summer! I was so excited!

  • @stuffrocks123 corinne made a video on that, but i think it was called Bleached skinny jeans, threadbanger.

  • she makes such useful videos :)

  • I loved this tutorial, subscribed! ^_^

  • Great Vid. Finally something to shut the mouths of guys :D

  • The tan looks lovely on you :)

    And I love your videos!

    You're very talented ☆

  • Great! i loved this!

  • This vid was really good!!! Now that's something i can use, unlike the flower stuff...

  • Very well done! I really dig sewing and have often thought about clothes I want to make, but alas, I was unsure about making my own patterns. Not anymore, ThreadBanger! Thank you for turning a daunting task into a piece of cake. Can't wait to 'Subscribe' and really explore your other videos. =^.^=

  • @withit062714 haha trust me it's still daunting no matter how easy it sounds or how easy it looks but I think make one really good pattern...u will never have to go remake another one again..that's why i suggest posterboards instead of newspaper...so u can hang it up ^_^ and use it whenever!

  • what do we do for the back piece?! you aimed this video at beginners, but didn't tell us how to make the back part....

  • @RedRosesRock14 im assuming u would do it the same as the front but don't cut out the neckline but im not sure, thats just how i would do it.

  • @RedRosesRock14 stretch knit tank...same front and back ^_^"

  • You are the bomb! I abs love your vids!

  • Don't listen to the haters :) I actually like you a lot

  • No back piece?

  • @tsummerlee lol i was just thinking that. x]

  • @tsummerlee same as front....because the pattern is made for using stretch knits...

  • So helpful. I love your sewing tutorials. :)

  • I'm impressed. This is your best video so far.

  • I liked this one. :)

  • I do miss the others, but she's pretty cool, and I like her style I really gives me ideas on how to change up my wardrobe, especially since I've been stuck one what else i do make. Thank A Bunch for the tips!!

  • LOL dudes and dudettes! I still can't get over how dumb George Bush sounded when he said that!

  • ahhh thank you for this tutorial!!! very helpful. i've tried making a pattern before and it did not go very well. very excited about trying this. :)

  • You look beautiful when your skin is dark! Not that you don't normally look beautiful, I just thought I'd let you know. :)

  • I hope you liked Mexico, where did you go? (Im form Mexico)

I hope it wasnt that hot like is here where I live lol =D

I will try to do this probably when I have some time (so yeah probably at christmas lol) but probably I can make a vest or something out of this =D thank you the vid was cool

  • @MsGaByTrEvInO Yo tmb soy de Mexico!!! ^0^

  • @akissy =D Viva!!!

  • This is cool, first time I actually learned sth about making patterns. I usually used Rob and Corinne's video to change a big shirt into a tank top.

  • I like that video, but I really miss the old threadbanger

  • LOL. where ur.....nipples are.

  • you should do something steam punky for fall ^.^

  • im watching "fated to love you" AND you remind me of the main character O.O

  • dude!

how did u get such a massive tan

  • @Cookieanddough she just came back from mexico

  • @happyjustiness yeh but its like really dark-- she must have really good tanning skin? hah

  • You can also play with the back. Pattern making class was not my favorite. Especially when we had to make crazy darts.I rather drape.

  • wut is ur name?

  • pattern making is pretty hard for a beginner so thanks ALOaaT!!:D

i agree with who ever said you should show how to do a pant pattern

i could really use new pants

  • KL! You sound sick ]=

  • I don't even know why i'm still getting these videos.... i unsubscribed to threadbangers a while ago.... youtube is screwy...:[

I kind of jumped ship to secretlifeofabionerd tho xD

  • thanks!! that was simple and cool!! :) and you are lovely, sweet, cute and very informative. love! :)
