whoever is reading this: if you get any candy, do NOT eat it. Change the date to October 31 2009, and give it all to Jack the czar of halloween. he will give you spooky furniture, which you can sell to nook like egg furniture.

Actually, you SHOULDN't eat the candy. Right after I use this easter cheat, I set the date to holloween (Oct. 31). Then, I use it to find jack. Jack, the czar of holloween, will give you furniture if you can find him and give him candy. Jack wears a pumpkin head and robe like everyone else, so it can be difficult to find him unless you know how. Villagers will follow you when you run by, but Jack will just ignore you.

i used to time travel in GC version, to get 10,000 bells from mum on new years. my town looked like crap. my face animal neighbours moved and it felt crappy that i cheated, im sticking to honest, hard work picking fruit and seeling it at nooks (with the occasional fossil bug fish shell washed up coconut etc) AND FURNITURE! also clothing... so much to sell!!
