If you've got a lot of money for a Mac laptop buy the MacBook Pro, if you just want a Mac for example for GarageBand the white one is the best.

I was very interested in getting one and even willing to spend $2,000 until I watched video's of others experience with the MacBook lap tops. If I'm willing to spend That much... even $1,000 on it... they better damn well fix it especially if it's still under warrantee. I've made up my mind not to purchase the MacBook after all... macbook may 2009 FTW. i got it at best buy for 800$ close to christmas because it was the model, good deal. but its better then the unibody because it has firewire and removable battery/ram and it CAN go up to 7 hours

The New Macbook's are obviously better, glasstrack pad, LED backlit display and the Unibody design means the machines really is more durable. A lot of people might not get it, but after 3 or 4 years of use, you will really appreciate having that sturdy unibody design. I do think it's bad that they took away the fire wire though.

And would you rather pay every 2 years for a new battery, because the 7 hour battery is NOT true, and firewire is important because some speakers can only take firewire (The good speakers) and would you want to pay every 2 years for a new battery + taken the back out?
