I think i notice it too....hide doesn't look happy....when his band member had to stop the shooting while hide was singing, he didn't say anything but i can feel that he was depressed at that moment. don't know why. but then he jz laughed and help his member fix it.

mmm...his personality and the way he dressed were rather playful...he's always cute and always interacted with his fans in a very adorable way. So that's why it's difficult to notice his depression ne.

However, he still talked lively and normally in the interview on the day before he died..he even said he had girlfriend and wanted her to make big breakfast for him...didn't look like a man who would commit suicide the next day.

the thing with depression is..you never know when you're gonna have a 'dip'. plus, he was drunk as hell and alcohol is known to aggravate feelings of depression. besides, it's always the people you least suspect who has depresion.

mmm..i guess that was true...he did have reasons to be depress about. the main one was X disbanded. I think he is the person who hurt the most. 2nd was I guess he believed in making real music and really upset for music industry has been involving too much with money. and another one is the time pressure to finish new album. I don't want to figure out what is the exact reason for his depression. maybe he had nothing to do with it.

i recollect that in 1 of those tv interviews that he did, hide did mention that he suffered from depression whenever he goes to bed while relatively awake and that's why he'd work himself out till he's tired then go to bed so he would fall asleep quickly and not think about things hence avoiding getting depressed. i do not know the exact date the interview was done, but it could have been done at a time way before xjapan disbanded. we can suffer from depression from any reason.

I think nudity is optional, whatever you are into. As far as trying from it, the most common reason is because you essentially faint before you can stop yourself, and since you already put yourself in that situation, unless somebody interferes (generally unlikely) you end up dead. Actually, I'd hate to point things out here but the most likely to be true theory of Hide's death is also the one Yoshiki believes apparently. The band members used to wrap towels around their necks and tie them to doorknobs after concerts to ease muscle pain. Hide in particular was known to have neck troubles. But because he was so intoixicated from drinking he apprently woke up, tried to ease his neck pain but feel asleep in the process and got strangled.. It's all very sad..

No one knows for sure. Alot of people would have you believe it was suicide, but that is so unlikley because what reason was there to do it? Also, Yoshiki doesn't think it was suicide and I'll believe Yoshiki no matter what. All we really do know for sure is that he was drunk, found in his appartment hanged by a towel and a doorknob, and that he was declared dead at 8:52 am on May 2, 1998.
