This bill is yet another way to discriminate against gay people. Our government goes along with this crap. Gay people deserve all the same rights and protections that heterosexuals get. Why is this so difficult for people to understand? They are not asking for more rights than everyone else, just EQUAL rights and EQUAL protection!

Also he says "age appropriate" ... straight is just as normal as gay and they are exposed to straight relationships everyday and they should also be exposed to gay relationships as well....sex ed should include both... so they need to know that being gay is okay ... because we have gay children and gay parents ..... the problem is parents are worried the school will show how stupid mom and dad really are.

I doubt this bill would stand up in court. kids are going to do gay things and some like in cleveland, texas are going to do things against peoples will. This can cause STD's if the child isn't taught correctly, how to protect ones self. I think the only way Tenn. can outlaw gay sex education is to outlaw sex ed class all together. With people catching HIV and other serious STD's I doubt that the public would want to outlaw sexed. Abstinence classes probably would be much better.

@abugfilms Thats not reproduction, thats artificial. Reproduction MUST involve 2 sexes where the sperm and egg fuse together. Even by the artificial methods, you require a sperm, which lesbians cannot produce, and you require egg for 2 males, therefore reproduction doesn't make sense in homosexuality since there is always an outside source of gametes for reproduction to occur.

@qw2589 NO. It is reproduction by definition. It reproduces the human being's genetic code by combining characteristics of both biological parents. So called "artificial" or not, it is still reproduction, whether you care to admit it or not. That aside, homosexuality is natural by definition as well. One may NOT argue that homosexuality is unnatural by definition since it is present from mammals all the way down to insects in nature. That argument is OVER.

my mother is 61. She travels to middle-schools across Canada to talk to kids about being a Mum to a gay son. About the need to stand up for our friends and family members who are gay. There are children in schools with openly-gay parents, and family members and friends. These children are bullied by other children. THIS is why it's talked about, and why it needs to be talked about.

Sex education is not a biology class, and I dare say everyone who watched this video knows that since they probably went through sex education. Sex education is about safe sex, sex practices, etc. EVEN if it were a biology class homosexuality IS present in almost every mammalian group and even in insects! It is STILL present in nature, so even in a biology class it is still pertinent!

i learned about homosexuality in sex ed in a CATHOLIC SCHOOL in a NEUTRAL way.
