can some one just give me a heads up im thinking about starting battle fleet gothic and i was wondering what ships make a good starting fleet? i know you need a main ship ect for elder = void stalker
@bioniclemastermandud depending on what race you choose you shall collect a army worth 1500 points. thats a standardsize for a game that lasts some hours. you can find the points for each ship in the "armada" rule book, downloadable in specialist section at games workshop site for BFG :)
They are a bit tough to build just because they come with no instructions so you gotta look at the pictures on GW website to get a idea of what part goes where other then that no harder then building the Models in WarHAMMER OR 40k
Hey Helios, i play 40k and i've never seen Gothic, but i really like space warfare and warhammer, i have the donwloaded rules of GW website and i understand them well, but i cant find all the right ships i want off GW website and Forge World as you said, barely has them. Also, where do yuo find people to play with? There's barely anyone playing Gothic nowadays :9
for finding people to play, many Vet 40K players did play the game when it came out. Some even kept their models and I find (at lest in my gaming store) when they see someone new getting into BFG they tend to be up for picking the game back up again. I say bring a model to your Gaming store and paint it, That's how I found people to play at my store seeing me painting the models made a few people get out their fleets and start playing again.
cruisers run form $15-$25 depending on the army Example Eldar ones are Metal and only come one in a pack for $15 Imperial Guard are plastic come 2 in a pack that can be made into any Cruiser in their list and cost $17
Escorts: run around $15 and usually come three to a pack or 2 again depending on the army and the escort. My Eldar Fleet cost me about $150 and is pretty big for a BGF fleet
I've done 500 point games to 1,000 points but I never really knew what the standard size is since the only ones I play with is my two friends and we just play what ever we feel like that day
The only FW models discontinued were the Tau transports, everything else very much in production.
