was upthere other week, walked edale to crowden in longdendale up jacobs ladder, then from crowden to hadfield aka roysten vasey, total miles walked 21 n half.loved it,the peak is beautiful,n im lucky its on my doorstep!!!
Very nice video. Thanks. You took an historic path. William Clough was the route used by most of the trespassers in 1932..the scuffles with the gamekeepers took place just off the path heading up the hillside.
Riverman1971 took me up Kinder then back down, when it got Dark at the pub we had to walk back up mam tor in pitch black to get back to the car! it almost killed me!

Sir,you're a man after my own heart. I live in Stockport and the Peak district is my spiritual home. Did 2000 miles across India earlier this year with my girlfriend on a Royal Enfield in the blistering heat and dust. This video looks just like the day dreams I had while riding along. Love the song as well - great film. So if one day you spot a dark green Royal Enfield parked at Upper Booth. It'll probably be me.
I wouldn't drink it personally. The Kinder Plateau consists mainly of peat so it will have all sorts of stuff in it :-) might be ok if you filter it with one of the special devices on the market now days, Or do it Ray Mears style.
Kinder is defo better in winter. We go up there pretty much every wednesday come rain or shine. Nice training ground for Lakes and Scotland as its only a short way from home
I did pretty much the same walk this week, fantastic and I didn't meet a sole up there. The first fellow walker I encountered was just coming out of the car park as I returned.
That's what you get when you start your walk at first light.
Hi, this video brought me to tears! thank you guys so much! My Grandfather Stanley Capstick was the last Gamekeeper on Kinder Scout and My grandparents used to live at Farlands lodge! We lived at Farlands House!
Me and a few mates climbed Snowdon last Saturday and our next climb is Kinder Scout. Looks a great walk. Thanks for the vid upload :o)

Don't drink it, there could be a dead sheep 100yds up stream and that would ruin your day.

I love it up there. Not too hard, just nice.
Great film (Dead Man's Shoes). Top song.
There's a dry stone walled area somewhere up there that I like to pitch up in.
