But I love your film and I'm glad you finally filmed it. The acting is actually surprisingly good for such an obviously low budget effort. The writing, of course, is what I would expect from you. I commend you for bringing a bit of levity to a subject that so often elicits such strong emotions. You have my respect.
That doesn't make sense. Wards don't make their own rules. The church as a whole does. If you go to a lot of Mormon functions, they don't offer caffeinated beverages just because so many are against it. But there is no official Mormon doctrine that tells Mormons not to drink caffeinated soda. We don't drink coffee because we are told not to drink "hot drinks."
I wish that I could splash every Mormon with a cup of hot coffee.

That's what I want to know... But the only reason I think we can't drink coffee is that it's a hot drink. Everybody in my ward drinks mountain dew

Mormons can't drink coffee. The whole caffeine thing is a misconception. Many Mormons do avoid it, but some drink coke on a regular basis.
