That is the yoghurt my husband eats, but he prefers the higher fat one. He can't have that, though. I think it is great that you want to be healthy. I have to say, Amanda, that I wish I had paid more attention to eating "healthy" when I was your age. It is very hard now, to get weight off and to break the bad eating habits. Good for you catching it before it becomes a problem! The Japanese have a word that I cannot remember but it translates to "80%"... where you eat until you are 80% full and stop. So that's a good deal to eat till your satisfied.
eating right is so hard for me too. My problem is I will not eat until the afternoon and my doctor said that I need to eat all meals because I need to keep my metabolism going. But some reason I am not hungry at all until the afternoon. so I have got to make myself to start eating breakfast and lunch.
yeah i have never been big on breakfast but i do notice when i eat a light but healthy breakfast i feel better during the morning hours, more energy and stuff.
i like Special K redberries with 1 percent milk in the mornings too... i just dont have any atm so i have had to make something eles
i have heard good and bad things about it, as far as being obsessed with every calorie and all that.
it works for me, it has in the past and once my body gets used to it i feel alot better health wise and all that... its just getting back in the swing of eating better.
try to cut back on sodas, condiments, and sweets... i know its hard but it can really help, try eating more veggies too...

You are so right about things that you think are going to be so great and then are disappointed.
Calories are less important than the kind of food that you eat.
I've been on a low carb diet for a few months and have lost 40lbs without much fuss.
Stay away from snack foods that are made with potatoes and sugar.

justin did the low carb diet for a while, he didnt like it but im sure that was just because he didnt like giving up foods lol.

eating until im satisfied not full was the hardest thing for me to learn to do. i still struggle with it some times if it is a food i love

yeah its not easy ... but i know if i just let my body and mind get use to it i will be fine.
i have been through this eating better healthy choices crap before, i just didnt stick to it, and i let crappy food get in my way!
eh oh well... im trying again :P
