As far as has all-powerful offense, it was largely flawed and based around left high kicks and left straights. As MMA's standup developed, Mirko's was left behind. He circled into right-handed opponent's power to set up a left high kick. He never developed tools to move his opponent like a solid jab or left hook, much less a take down and ground and pound game. Submissions off of his back should have developed before his athletic explosion declined as he aged and got injured.

@heivabreak Sticking to a technique for years even when people start to counter it and exploit its holes is what Cro Cop did. He lost a lot in the UFC because of it. I love his style but he never changed it up. People like GSP are constantly changing and constantly winning.

now THAT is what I call a KICKBOXER! I've watched a lot of K-1 matches, and I see a common dilemma- fighters are great at kicking, but they don't punch as much as them kick. Mirco "Cro Cop" gets it, and he mixes up his punches and kicks.

He throws punches to the face to set up those vicious low kicks. He uses boxing and kickboxing. Most fighters focus strictly on kicking with the occasional punch or two.
