Amazing 2010, and this trailer for a 2d game MOD... Got me excited. Doom rocks. Doom X rocks harder!!!

The graphics look nice and smooth as well. Im surprised though, ive never seen anyone really mod the monsters, like imps, demons etc. Look at the ones from DOOM 64! How cool are they? Would it be hard to bring the sprites from a game like that, onto Doom on PC?

fucking signed, doom is about massive body counts, not shuffling around in the dark killing monsters one at a time, that's some RE stuff not doom. Never played serious sam, but I heard it was a good doom3 substitute too.

The light effect is from GZDoom, the characters I draw on a tablet using Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. Doom level editing I use DeepSea and for decorate info I use XWE.

Why don't you use Doom Builder rather than DeepSea? I just thought it would be way easier to use as I create maps myself.

I tried it at first but I had a problem using scripts so I stuck with Deepsea. Doom Builder is cool though.

But seriously, id themselves would be proud to come out with something this good I think, looking at the finer details...like I noticed you kept all the demonic imagery and everything, I'd bet you even have some kind of plot in mind or something, even if it's just as simple as a new portal opening.

I bet if they did come out with something like this it would sell pretty good. Just look at when they made Mega Man 9. People paid to download that game like crazy and it was brand new 8-bit game hehe. And there really isn't a plot for Doom X. Just mindless killing. I will put in some story when you beat every 7 levels like the original doom 2 whenever I finish everything but it's not some deep plot lol. It will be very simple.

One word of advice though, you should put a few more tags in your video description so it's a little easier for non-subscribers (ie; people searching for Doom mods) to find.

Also, it might be worth creating a profile for Doom X up on ModDB to raise awareness - your hard work deserves a wider audience!
