  • Have you seen any UFOs up there?(seriously)

  • Who said anything about American transportation?

They were all dangerous then. I was speaking of my own travelling experiences in the Eastern Block. Of course, I am mainly making fun and joking of the way our former leaders made things look, even in commercials such as this one. Good days. And if you have any doubt as to what gives me the right to express my oppinion in such a humorous manner, look me up. Dumitru Prunariu. I was on the Interkosmos joint Soviet-Romanian crew in 1981. Soyuz 40.

  • @prunariu Congratulations on your UN Chairmanship. And thank you for your contributions to human space flight and research.

  • Nice.

  • I don't speak any Russian. Obviously the passengers are asking the stewardesses for things, but what are the stewardesses repeating to the passengers?

  • @rochefort

I beg of you - word for word

    here you are - meaning

  • interesting how aeroflot's logo is still a hammer and sickle to this day

  • @quimsolls1 Nothing wrong with SU holding on to its heritage.

  • Смотришь и лыба сама натягиваеться))

  • I thought it was very dangerous to fly Aeroflot. The stewardesses smoked in the lavoratory and they served rotten orange juice. But now they have those B777 instead of that iljushin crap or however the fuck you spell it

  • was it illegal to fly out of the soviet union?? that's how it is in North Korea

  • @MsTommyknocker most definitely, only government officials, russian ballet dancers performing abroad, etc. flew internationally. This is aimed at domestic travel. The USSR has alot of territory and long distances between destinations.

  • @MsTommyknocker No country was a big. But in USSR you had more rights them NK have now.

  • @MsTommyknocker You only succeed in making yourself look stupid by making such a comment.

  • I left two comments. Which one were you referring to??

  • Everyone gets a smile on Aeroflot!

  • Кавказкая пленница что ли?

  • All the stewardess's seem like nice chaps.

  • @kippersmcgee Your comment is not amusing. Very sexist.

  • great video

  • this video is cool

  • Was that Lenin ordering another Campari and Orange? Or maybe he wanted to join the mile high club?

  • La femme de mes rêves est à 0:00 et 1:58

  • @DeLorean4

She is Natalya Varley, a big movie star in USSR.

  • @m18751 MERCI! MERCI! MERCI!!!!

  • In Soviet Russia, flight attendant sexually harasses YOU!

  • @DeLorean4 What a stupid comment. Get yourself a life.

  • mike hawk likes this alot

  • This fucks my mind up the ass.

  • Девчат и актеров подобрали каких-то самых некрасивых. Варлей и та, какая-то не очень(.

  • why do all of then look like a croco? that's sad :(

  • There is so much to marvel at here - the strange matching two-tone wigs, the inexpensive-looking costumes, the less-than-pinpoint accuracy of the choreography and lip-synching, the un-centered camera views and even lack of focus...the odd assortment of demanding passengers whose commands are always met with a smile...all performed to a cheerful, capitalist-sounding orchestration.

  • Why do all of them have the same hair?

  • Did you see the one with two teeth missing? And the dude with the hair? And the chick with the mustache?

  • what does, "Rusova" (Can I assume Russian?) mean? Sorry about the spelling.

  • Thing I find funny is an airline that held a monopoly on flights out of the Soviet Union would need to advertise.

  • @juantrippe82

and it was so cheap, i remember our parents (and most people) flying from Tbilisi to Moscow just to have a scoop of an ice-cream on a weekend. It was Soviet Ryanair :P

  • @kobatv1 But probably better, :)

  • @juantrippe82 During the cold war years Aeroflot was the cheapest way for western citizens to fly from Europe to Japan. The international services were first class but the domestic services left a lot to be desired.

  • @Avantime Thank you for clearing that up. I really don't know too much about Aeroflot, I should read a bit more. I find American, Canadian, and Western European aviation historians devote alot of books on the history of Pan Am or TWA.

  • @juantrippe82 That's called "propaganda"

  • @juantrippe82 In the Soviet Russia that monopoly company had to compete severely with hoersdwarn- and horseback traffic ! You might never understand it really you rotten spoilt capitalist nerd!

  • @VAVER9000 That I am. But I appreciate everybody's opinions. Well, except conservatives.

  • @juantrippe82 take it easy towareesch! cheers!

  • @juantrippe82 myman what about train? bus? that's the reason

  • @andreilucaci81 That is a good point. Although, the Trans Siberian Railway is apparently, a tourist draw.

  • @juantrippe82 I think it's more of an international ad for the USSR as a whole. Since they were competing on a global scene they still need eye catching ads. Much like anywhere in the world the poorer population wouldn't dream of riding a plane.

  • @juantrippe82 Croatian state-owned power company (HEP) enjoys a monopoly and still heavily advertises and puts out sponsorship deals for first league football clubs.

...it's called "draining the money out of the state budget into someone's pocket".

  • @juantrippe82 more funnier, nobody were allow to fly out of the soviet union.

  • @TakeAndToxx I stand corrected. But didn't they have flights to New York until the 1980's?

  • @juantrippe82 Of course some people could fly into other countrys, but that were almost only people from the communist party or kgb spys or people like my father who had contact to the communist party. everbody else could only dream to fly to new york or something else.

  • Was your daddy a communist??

  • @juantrippe82 The commercial's aim was to introduce the Soviet people to new joys of aerial transportation in a flying casket, rather than the traditional TransSiberian casket on rails, thus underlining the technical superiority and progress that Socialism accomplished in such a short period of time, for the benefit of the people, pushing forward for peace and universal bliss. AND SO ON...

Propaganda. As Khruschev put it: The press (media) is our main ideological weapon.

  • @prunariu casket eh? so you dont use any transportation at all? or is it that only American transportation offers you lounge experience?

  • @juantrippe82 flying was relatively new still, so they probably tried to encourage ppl to fly

  • @juantrippe82 They were fighting with trains- 8 hr. on plane, 1 week on train to Vladivostok from Moskow, but on train it was 5 times cheaper.

  • @juantrippe82 The advertising was most likely aimed at the Western market.

  • Still making Busby Berkley-style musicals in 1970? And for promoting Aeroflot!

  • 1:34, I can't describe this hapiness, he look so cheerfull :P

  • @ianyslem What did he ordered??

  • I want it

  • да уж..что сказать..(

  • Всё от вина и домино кроме полётов...

Неправильная реклама... Получается, что аэрофлот удовлетворяет и улыбается, но не летает...

  • What were these? It's too long to be an ad. Was this what they put on TV?

  • Fantastic!!!!!
