Jimmy Weldon started in Dallas at KRLD-TV Channel 4 in the early/mid '50s. He was probably in his 20s then. As I child I learned how to do the Donald Duck voice by immitating Webster Webfoot. In 1963 my parents bought me a miniature daschund puppies who had webbed feet and we named his after Jimmy's puppet.
I watched Webster Webfoot on tv on week days about 3 or 4 in the afternoon in the 60s, He did the show live at the old chan. 47 building in Fresno Ca. one of many towns he worked in the 60s . One of 4 channels, 47 30 (chan. 12 at the time) 24 and an independent, 53! 4 stations??? that was it.Yaaah life was so simple then
@Darth234Ravenous. I absolutely agree. whatever happend to looney tunes and muppet babbies and saturday morning cartoons. Kids today do not know what a good cartoon is.
@armenianply Donald's voice, one of the most identifiable voices in all of animation, was performed by voice actor Clarence "Ducky" Nash up to his death in 1985.
This is what we need. Good, wholesome, clean, and absolutely hilarious entertainment. Not like the garbage we get from studios nowadays. This man is a legend like so many other older performers.
Clarence Nash was the voice of Donald Duck from the begfining until 1983, then it was Tony Anselmo ( who was trained by Nash).........This guy, Jimmy Weldon was the voice of Yakky Doodle Duck from the Hanna Barbara cartoons..
Jimmy did the voice for Yacky Doodle and his prototype, Quacky. Quacky was on with Tom and Jerry, and Yacky was on with Yogi Bear- both were Hanna-Barbera (Not Disney) characters. But the routine IS cute.
well it's hard to make Donald's voice with out moving your mouth it's the only way to make the best sound or you have your mouth shut it'd sound like he was traped in a box
This guy does a good donald duck voice but he is not the real voice for donald duck. The real voice for donald duck back in the day was Clarence Nash!

I worked as a Television cameraman for KSBW TV in Salinas California back in
1965. I remember Jimmy and Webster did an afternoon matinee show during
the week and I would run the camera. Jimmy Weldon was a class act back then.
Though I didn't work there long, I have fond memories of this man.

This isn't Donald Duck. It's Webster Webfoot who had a kids show in Los Angeles in the late 50's and early 60's.
