wow, how do those little japanese vehicles do in the snow? Looks like you need a heavy 4x4 truck or suv.

It is amazingly beautiful where you live though. I wish I could move from USA to Hokkaido

Boasting 630 cm (248 inches) on average, Sapporo is one of the few metropolises in the world with such heavy snowfall. It is therefore safe to assume that ALL of Hokkaido gets a lot of snow! I am personally interested in Japan just because of Hokkaido, and it is truly amazing how the city Sapporo deals with such an immense amount of snowfall. My own city, Boston, already went over its snowfall removal budget ($6 million) and we only got 40 inches so far!

Looks like fun! I live in Manitoba, Canada and we get LOTS of thick snow. Most people hate snow and winter but i love it. Its my favorite season. I hope digging wasn't to hard on you, because i know it can be very tiring and your health is very important. Japan seems like a different world them mine =] One trick i do is dig off the thick snow,clear off your car door, clear the area near the exhaust and then get into the car start it and it will melt any ice on the windows. I said "Yukikaki no bou "ゆきかきの棒 at that time

But normaly we said "Suno-burashi"スノーブラシ in Hokkaido.

@BraLadyJapan It would be an honor. However I think the roads are too danderous after a snow storm so I'll bring my truck. The front bumper is only 5 feet off the ground It's s Heavy Duty Ford F-250 Four Wheel drive. I better bring a step ladder.

Wow that's a ton of snow to shovel, I live in nyc and it's only snowed one day so far, and it all melted away that same day. Hopefully you were able to drive around without getting stuck.
