Dude, that's pretty damn good but I hope you didn't fall in the evh trap like i did. Yah, I could impress some people with my "skills" but It was all fake with no real foundation. It wasn't unitll I was in my 20s that I started really studying the guitar and found out that EVH is not the first guy to be studying. He's a rule breaker who had a very solid music background before guitar and then had huge natural talent. I wasted 2 good guitar years learning to play eruption. But damn good job!!!!

Yes, I agree there's nothing fake about being able to play them. It is impressive and yes it did make me better technical guitarist. But, how much better would it be though, to learn all the theory and the rules and break them in your own unique way. Not breaking them the EVH way. That's his way. Anyway, watcing your vids has got me wanting to go back and learn all those old songs. It's been a long time. Good job man.

Dude that's funny! i think that's the first part everyone learns. Some years ago I was asked to participate in a church talent show just to get a few more adults than just all kids. I played a few compostions and then turned it up and transistioned into eruption. My playing was sub-par(years with out practice) but they didn't notice. I think I or maybe EVH inspired a few kids to play guitar. Pretty funny seeing all the old people cringe and cover their ears.

duncan JB wired to a push/pull vol. ( that i never use) This guitar probably sounds the closest to VH out of all my guitars. However the wolfgangs through a nice tube amp just annihilate the others.

i don't really like van halens post kramer sound even though the wolfgangs i guess are considered the best by most VH fans, I'd rather get that fair warning crunchy sound. Someone told me steve vai pickups would be good for EVH sound but im not too sure about dishing out that kind of money on pickups just to find out there was a better way to do it.

its a spider III. im kinda getting tired of it. i think the only video i used the 5150 in was good enough, i really want a 5150III in combo form. i had a nice vhII tone dialed in on the line 6 but i never saved it and now i cant get it back :(

OK tell the truth....is this really a Spider III????? The Tone is really awesome. Are you using the presets or did you dial that in yourself. Just sounds so professional. The Spider is a great amp...but I didn't know it could sound quite that good. I'd love to hear you play through my Spider Valve. I'm working on a cover of 'In My Dreams'. As soon as I get it done I'll load it and let ya hear the new Spider Valve. It is a tight amp bro!!
