★Led Zeppelin★ remain the greatest rock band to ever set foot on a stage. No band before or since has even come close. Zep's first six albums so far, have sold 76-million copies just in the U.S. alone, that's an average of 12.6 million per album. No music artist of any genre has ever matched this feat.
Yes, I agree with you. I truly believe that Blimp fans search and search for that 30 second clip that we have never seen. Even if its silent 8mm film it still draws our attention enough to watch it a few times or more. Seeing a new clip from 73 or 75 can make your whole day. You are a devout fan of the band when you can tell where each clip is from, what year and the exact date of the show! If I find any new footage, I promise to pass it by posting it here first.
Its great to see the bits and pieces that are not in the Song Remains The Same movie. This is some really raw video that Zeppelin fans like myself {the purest of purest} appreciate more than anything else. The only lousy part of being a die-hard Blimp fan is the lack of video that that was taken of the band. That is compared to other bands that came out of the same era. If there was as much Blimp video as there is from the Stones, I would be extremely elated. We take what we can get and love it!
@augbuggy You hit the nail right on the head. This comment shows that you were a Blimp fan because you are exactly right. They were about as fond as video as they were to releasing 7 inch singles. Releasing both video and 7" singles were not that important to their fame. Not many bands had the immense drawing power that Zeppelin had either. They actually pre-sold their albums and concert dates by word of mouth. A rare feat that will never be duplicated.
@Paneeks1960 I can honestly say that 99 percent of the time I have spent on youtube has been searching for anything Zeppelin related that I have not yet heard or seen .There is precious little as you said and it's always been that way , and that makes it all the more appreciated
@Tecumseh1812 DITTO BRO!!!! but i did hear today that the 02 show is coming out on dvd!!!!!!(hopefully) i called the radio programmer, manager...he said that the band liked what they saw!!! and it should be out for xmas!!!! CANT WAIT!!!! oh by the way the station is here in cleveland!!!
Interestingly we don't see any of the cameramen capturing this for The Song Remains The Same in this footage. In TSRTS we see that big tall guy all over the place and on the same side of the stage as this 8mm stuff. Perhaps TSRTS was staged and faked just like the moon landings :-)
Indeed a majority of Son Remains the Same was recorded almost a year later in a warehouse of sorts on the other side of the Atlantic. It was then mixed in appropriately to fill out the voids of footage. John Paul Jones had to where a wig to cover up his new haircut, and Robert had corrective dental surgery prior.
Hello there music appreciator.
-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music?

Jimmy Page had to have made a deal with the devil.
There's really is no other explaination for the level he was playing at this point.
Plus, his onstage charisma is just beyond belief.
Simply the baddest mofo to ever step on a stage.

In all honesty, it does bother me a little that some people don't like
Led Zeppelin - but, intellectually, I also understand that their
music is not going to appeal to everyone. It does become a problem, though,
when those who don't like Led Zeppelin go onto their videos and start harassing everyone.
It boils down to live and let live, and let people have their own opinions. It goes both ways, too.

@Paneeks1960 Tis' a shame Led Zeppelin were not fond of video and consciously avoided it, but I guess it's all part of there mystique.
