As a huge rob thomas fan, I know this song is one of his hardest songs to play compared to songs like "hang","unwell" or "3am", in which case they are played with simple chords. Way to go you nailed it. Cant even tell you how many times this songs put me to sleep. LOVE IT.

Where did you hear that this song was written when his wife was fighting a debilitating desease? I've searched the internet and found no support for that. I've read an interview on aolmusic where Rob (Thomas) goes through the background of each song, and there is no mention of his wife during "Now Comes the Night." Also, as far as i've found, Marisol, his wife, is a model and well and alive. Where did you guys get your information?

Good job.  Huge Rob fan, so your choice of song makes me like you even more! I like how you just show the guitar and your hand too. No posing for the camera, just good music. Keep it up! Rob Thomas rarely performs that song live but when he does he uses the keyboard. It's a very emotional song for him, I hear, since it is about his wife sruggling with a debilitating illness. Makes the song so poignant. Good luck to you!
