@Neutral666 No, if your nutrition is bad, it doesn't matter how much you exercise, you won't get abs. You may not have fat on your stomach, but it will develop there if you don't eat right.
@Neutral666 I am also skinny with low body fat and i have a very visible six pack and i dont watch what i eat, but do abs every night. Good nutrition is obviously better than bad nutrition but not required if your naturally skinny.

Dude no way is working your abs ONCE a week going to get you anywhere. If you work your ass off and go balls to the wall, your body will still be able to recover and be ready to train abs again in about 2-3 days. I know for a fact that to get my muscles to grow that I have to train several times a week, targeting every muscle group 2-3 times. It all depends on your bodytype, but no way is once a week enough for abs. Once your muscles aren't sore, they're ready to train again.
@Ott0matic Abs are trained with squats, deadlifts, shrugs, barbell curls, etc. givin them 30 min of private time can be effective enough to make them bigger and stronger.

sorry to say this but you are hopelessly leading people to the wrong alley. if you people do abs with heavy weight once a week your back is going to say BOOM!! heres an example for training. monday: a few min ab ex(no weight here) , tue: HARD LOWER BACK EXERCISE with heavy weight, wed: NOW HIT YOUR ABS WITH HEAVY WEIGHT! if you want a small waist and a strong core do the stomach vacuume multiple times a day and maintain a low bodyfat percentage. traditional ab exercises like the crunch work only the outer muscles of the abdomen (rectus abdominis), typically enlarging them through hypertrophy, leaving the transverse abdominis weak by comparison. tightening of this core will directly result in a smaller waist and better posture by more firmly containing the organs. Arnold would attest to this lol..
Scooby @ 2:00-2:07, you state in order to have visible abs you must have a bodyfat level of between 5-10%. I respectfully disagree. Though that might be true in someone with less than very developed abdominals, it isnt true all of the time. I've had visible abs as high as 17% before.

@mabuskiller It should vary, when I'm bulking I hit about 13-15 percent bodyfat then I start my cut so I'm around 5% at summer as well, when I'm at a contest I'm around 3-4%. Its unhealthy to stay at less than 7% bodyfat year round.

I do crunches with a weight behind my head. Then I do some exercises for my lower abs and some weighted side bends. Lastly I do squats and bench press to lose weight.

@Neutral666 I am also skinny with low body fat and i have a very visible six pack and i dont watch what i eat, but do abs every night. Good nutrition is obviously better than bad nutrition but not required if your naturally skinny.

Dude no way is working your abs ONCE a week going to get you anywhere. If you work your ass off and go balls to the wall, your body will still be able to recover and be ready to train abs again in about 2-3 days. I know for a fact that to get my muscles to grow that I have to train several times a week, targeting every muscle group 2-3 times. It all depends on your bodytype, but no way is once a week enough for abs. Once your muscles aren't sore, they're ready to train again.

sorry to say this but you are hopelessly leading people to the wrong alley. if you people do abs with heavy weight once a week your back is going to say BOOM!! heres an example for training. monday: a few min ab ex(no weight here) , tue: HARD LOWER BACK EXERCISE with heavy weight, wed: NOW HIT YOUR ABS WITH HEAVY WEIGHT! Thu: rest. Fri: both lower back and abs with no weight. hit hard. then have a nice weekend! cant tell you what kind of ex u do cuz im running outta letters :DD

if you want a small waist and a strong core do the stomach vacuume multiple times a day and maintain a low bodyfat percentage. traditional ab exercises like the crunch work only the outer muscles of the abdomen (rectus abdominis), typically enlarging them through hypertrophy, leaving the transverse abdominis weak by comparison. tightening of this core will directly result in a smaller waist and better posture by more firmly containing the organs. Scooby @ 2:00-2:07, you state in order to have visible abs you must have a bodyfat level of between 5-10%. I respectfully disagree. Though that might be true in someone with less than very developed abdominals, it isnt true all of the time. I've had visible abs as high as 17% before.

@mabuskiller It should vary, when I'm bulking I hit about 13-15 percent bodyfat then I start my cut so I'm around 5% at summer as well, when I'm at a contest I'm around 3-4%. Its unhealthy to stay at less than 7% bodyfat year round.

So 17% to 15% is 3kg loss, that is 1kg of fat grossly.
