I totally understand. Even though I have MS, members of my family have other problems and they're depressed - I feel annoyed and guilty too. My best advice would be to try your hardest to help him, but DO NOT let it affect your life. You can't do everything for your father, but you can be supportive. Just try your best not to feel guilty if he's upset or depressed because it's not your fault. I hope this was helpful!
before i was diagnosed i was really depressed and tried killing myself a few times and i went through a lot of mental disorders suck as bi polar but it changes besides my depression it's stuck
Hey there name is Nick seen lots of your videos, along with other peoples really helping me out this one hits close to me. I suffer from bipolar/ms take depakote/serequel,xanac,and soon tysabri. I know is not easy bt keep positive. Take care
With this latest Tysabri scare do you want to continue taking it or were you pulled off of it? It took me 4 months to get the courage to say yes...just to be told NO. Talk about depression! Have you ever felt emotional yet were unable to express it, I've had that on and off. Do you take anything for depression...if you don't mind me asking? As for faith...I know first hand it works...AMEN!
Hello! I started Tysabri after all of the controversy. I haven't had a problem with not being able to express my emotions, but I was on Lexapro at one point to help with my depression. I'm not on anything right now and I'm doing very well. I'm POSITIVE that my faith has a lot to do with that!!
Excellent video. Well done guys! I completely understand what you are talking about. I have been there too. Wishing you both continued success in every way!
Over the last 4-6 months I have found myself on the verge of crying a lot of the time. Not crying out of sadness but just getting emotional about the most bizarre things. It can be caused by the most common 'guy emotion' which is to do with sports. Seeing people overcome adversity can start me off these days. I first noticed this happening after Tysabri dose #1. I had #4 last week. I am going to discuss it with my neurologist next time I see her.
That happens to me all the time! I cry over anything and everything. I would definitely talk to your neurologist, but just know that you're not the only one! Good luck with everything!
That was refreshing, guys. It's a rare treat to hear such honesty. Really liked the progress by inches not miles thought, and getting better by living life by the basics.
It would be nice to have the angle descend and tell us it's all going to be cool. But absent that (which does happen sometimes), I've found that faith is the key when it really gets dark. Believing that somehow God is going to work it for good, just as He promises (Rom 8:28), gives hope and steadfastness. KUTGW, and God bless.
Hey!! Don't you love what Jim said? He's great and his advice really helped me! Faith is absolutely the key. I pray all the time and my faith has definitely allowed me to get through the roughest times.
Hey Lauren. Nice to meet you Jim. I love your name -- Jim Fortune! I've suffered from depression as well, and I know that feeling that you're not sure how or if you're going to feel better.
Hi Carl!! Thank you for your message! It's nice to be able to relate to each other like that...I think the majority of people who I've met on YouTube has had similar feelings. It's nice to feel so not alone!!
Hi Sue!! I am so glad that hearing us talk about depression being normal was a good thing for you! I know how it feels when MS isn't being good, but I also know that you will get better! Good luck with everything and I wish you a quick recovery period!!
both of you are so amazing. I wish all of you the best. your great and you have to know that you inspire so many people, including those who dont suffer either of those disorders but even the at home deeply depressed moms and dads. Good god you give me and my family such inspiration.
thank you so much for this video, you have both given some fantastic advice and I feel very happy that you have both shared these with us!
I am sure that this video will be extremely well received, especially with those in Limboland or newly diagnosed with ANY illness!
I asked my parnter to consider helping me end it all a few years ago, but since then I have turned my life around! I now set small goals and achieve them with pride!
Hi Mel!! Thank you so much for your comment! I am SO HAPPY that you were able to turn your life around!! Achieving small goals one at a time is the key!! Look at you now!
Ohhh sweetie. I had suicidal thoughts as well. I wanted to cross the street and be hit by a car. That was my 'plan'. It's completely normal during the limbo period (which is absolutely atrocious), so please if you're in limbo, it DOES get better.
Nice to meet you Jim! You look and sound like a great person. Keep up the good fight, both of you! :)
Hi Laura! Yes, it DOES get better! Fortunately I only felt like that once and it was over 8 years ago :) Isn't Jim great? He is a dear friend. I hope you're doing well!
Yeah, my Trigeminal Neuralgia's been acting up like mad (I quit smoking cold turkey, I don't know if I told you that?) in September, and it was such a shock that it nearly forced me into a relapse. I see my neuro Monday though, we'll see what he says. I just take Clonazepam when it gets really bad for me and that seems to tide me over.
thats so true, I would feel soooo much better if I had a definative diagnosis. the not knowing is the hardest part. sometimes I seriously feel like screaming :S
Love to both of you From Richard and Gill Edwards in England.XX.

Do you have any advice? Because sometimes I feel really annoyed but guilty at the same time.
