DIVINE MERCY DEVOTION given through saint Faustina, a simple miserable nun, who used to repel the calls of the Divinity, finally won by His Mercy. In fact Jesus said to her: Write, the greater the sinner, more he as right of my infinite mercy. The devotion is very simple, simple for us, the worst sinners, the desesperate who had lost any hope of salvation because of the seemingly of the gravity of our sins.
Vaporizer08 - THANK YOU! The saddest of all is how the art critics are too afraid to say any of this as their reputation would suffer as they would endanger those ridiculously high investments in crap. It is a form of money laundering. Rger Scruton made an interesting program recently about the loss of beauty in art, but then he sells his respectability as a philosopher for the Great Tobaco... Integrity is in the gutter in our 'civilisation'.
Sad that cubism, pop art, dadaism type crap-art existed and speculators and fraudsters made tons of money out of it.Basically they killed the talent and accumulation of knowledge of centuries. Classic painting was seen as a taboo especially in the 20th century and the fraud still goes on as we speak by (con)artists like Tracey Emin who has sold her dirty urine soaked bed as (con)artpiece for 100s of thousands of dollars.
yes Schoenberg , and more than that, because Kandinsky imagined that the pictures themselves, the shapes, the colours, the rytm, had a sound. Synæstesi, it is called....and a smell, and a feeling too .The seven senses.
Even more than that because he didn't just imagine that but really felt or experienced it like that. I know this because I am a synaesthete, too. He constructed his pictures so that what he saw made a harmonic ensemble in every sense. I love his pictures :).
Yes. .. you feel it. When I see his pictures I am in a way listening to, and asking myself how it sounds, ækvivelerer with music. How the music is. And there is more to it. and... when you listen to music, any music, it must have a picture, colours and shapes. If you are an artist the world is so rich.
well I don`t know if I am. I try to think about it... . I think it is just so that something fits together, and Maybe something fits exactly together? If you have experienced it I believe it. I feel that Kandinskys pictures have a specific sound and he wanted it(and smell and texture...) If I was a composer I would find inspiration to write it down, and try an interpretation. ...Poetry is beautiful between the lines, maybee full expression is not so interesting?
It's just that I noticed that I am syn by Kandinsky. It's not easy to find your own synaesthesias, because it always seems to be normal - it just fits together as you say, it just belongs together, sound, colour, texture and feeling...in my case. I'm just always a bit excited when people say things that could classify them as a synaesthete, I'm sorry for being so curious :).
I repeat you: "he constructed his pictures so what he saw made a harmonic ensemble in every sense".... I think that you express something here ,that is very well expressed
to michaelsimkin. I compair it with taking half a page out of book, or just a line, where it not nesseceraly is interesting, and ask if this is big litteratur. It belongs in a context.
I love Kandinsky too. Next to Chagall, he's the only other artist I immediately connected to for reasons I'll spend a lifetime discovering why. If only Youtube would have offered this in high quality.
I think he's my favorite "modern artist" or at least he's right up there. I love his paintings and have had the privilege of seeing numerous works of his in various museums here and in Europe. Great montage with great, dramatic music. Bravo!
