Sad that cubism, pop art,dadaism type crap-art existed and speculators and fraudsters made tons of money out of it.Basically they killed the talent and accumulation of knowledge of centuries. Classic painting was seen as a taboo especially in the 20th century and the fraud still goes on as we speak by (con)artists like Tracey Emin who has sold her dirty urine soaked bed as (con)artpiece for 100s of thousands of dollars.

yes Schoenberg , and more than that, because Kandinsky imagined that the pictures themselves, the shapes, the colours, the rytm, had a sound. Synæstesi, it is called....and a smell, and a feeling too .The seven senses.

Even more than that because he didn't just imagine that but really felt or experienced it like that. I know this because I am a synaesthete, too. He constructed his pictures so that what he saw made a harmonic ensemble in every sense. I love his pictures :).

And there is more to it. and... when you listen to music, any music, it must have a picture, colours and shapes. If you are an artist the world is so rich.

well I don`t know if I am. I try to think about it... . I think it is just so that something fits together, and Maybe something fits exactly together? If you have experienced it I believe it. I feel that Kandinskys pictures have a specific sound and he wanted it(and smell and texture...) If I was a composer I would find inspiration to write it down, and try an interpretation. ...Poetry is beautiful between the lines, maybee full expression is not so interesting?

It's just that I noticed that I am syn by Kandinsky. It's not easy to find your own synaesthesias, because it always seems to be normal - it just fits together as you say, it just belongs together, sound, colour, texture and feeling...in my case. I'm just always a bit excited when people say things that could classify them as a synaesthete, I'm sorry for being so curious :).
