If you did your research you would know there is NO SUCH thing as lock jaw! There is nothing diferent about the skeletal structure of a pitbulls jaw and any other jaw it is a complete load of crap.
finally someone who states the facts right! In fact there are many dogs with stronger bite force than pit bulls.... like you said they have nothing different in their jaw bone structure. They just have an increadible determination
I think it's cute to give big dogs goofy names, but if I had a big one who was a little pussy cat I might give him "ferocious" name like Titan, or Atlas, or Triton, or Zues. Those portray power don't make the animal out to be some type of criminal. I'd like to name one Fluffy or Precious (especially if it's a male) but that might be a little mean XD
the english mastiffs were the only dogs belived to kill lions and bears, the romans used to put several mastiffs in the colasium pits for the ppl to watch fight against lions and bear. another lil known fact is......you know how some ppl are scared of pittbulls just because it has lockjaw? pits were bred down from mastiff....mastiffs have lockjaw too. another crazy point.....did you know that the chow chow also has lockjaw? crazy huh?........do reseach if u doubt me, you will find this true!
i believe weimaraners were also used in bear hunts due to their fearlessness... they were once big game hunters, but when they were brought to northern europe, there was no big game... so they became bird dogs/retreivers
I've heard that before some where I didnt know how true it was though. Is there any research on that? How amazing would that be to see a video of that?
Nope, there were more than one mastiffs. Also there was an ancient breed of Molossers native to Italy of which the Cane Corso or Neo is bred from or similar to, but I doubt there is any evidence of this. However, dogs like the Neo and Cane Corso were used to guard and in war. Plus, if Rome have better and bigger animals fighting- who'd want to see a dog fight lions or anything. Lion vs Lion is better.
yea it would lol One single swipe from a lion would crush any dog and i mean ANY dog. So like he says it would HAVE to be at the very least 4 mastiffs or more AT LEAST! Those damn lions are at about 500 lbs minimum!
They say pits have a locking jaw Impossible because a rotweiler have a stronger bite than the pit and they dont got locking jaws.
FORTYCAL11 1 year ago
Ofcourse they were only used for tracking lions. RR could never take on a lion.

I can't wait to have another mastiff! I grew up with a bull mastiff, Goliath. He lived to be nearly 12, and was the best dog I've ever known.

Better than the stereotypical Killer, Devil, Diablo, or some name in reference to their perceived ferocity.

A neo mastiff killed lions? That kind of did not make sense ..........
If a neo mastiff were to go against a lion the lion could crush its skull with a paw ...................
cubme29 3 years ago
Actually i read that they didn't just send in one mastiff, usually it was 4 mastiffs vs 1 lion
