Nixon's and Ford's speeches were historical. But they announced corrupt and self-serving acts. Nixon resigned, not to spare the country, but to escape almost certain impeachment and possible criminal charges. Ford--the unelected VP—likely cut a deal, agreeing to pardon Nixon before Nixon would resign.
And Reagan--how completely false for one to aspire to the highest office in a government of the people while simultaneously denouncing that government as the problem.
Eisenhower warns the American people of the danger of the military industrial complex, but I guess they were watching "What's My Line?" or " Lawerence Welk". If Americans would only pay a little attention, we would not be in the fucking mess we are in today.

He also opened trade relations with China, a then-rival of the U.S. He also improved relations with the Soviet Union and signed a nuclear arms treaty with them, so as to decrease the danger of a nuclear war.

in terms of great speeches, it probably should've included 4 minutes of teddy roosevelt and 4 minutes of reagan. The rest of the guys are forgettable.
