About 4 years ago John Force or one of his Team cars were testing some Titanium Headers that did the same thing! They never tried that again...

@Joejam2845 They were trying thrust augmenters on them for a while too, same result. ripped the studs right out of the head.

Wow! I've seen headers break on funny cars in the past but I've never seen anything like that! It's amazinf the pressure going through the headers is enough to lift the car off the ground like that. Glad that Jeff is okay.

Wow. Even though there was nothing he could do, Jeff was counter steering his butt off instantly. Sign of a good driver with quick reflexes. That sucks for him, hopefully they can get it all back together soon.

@QR3550 I agree. He instantly counter steered, which definitely helped as he didn't hit the wall on such a bad angle.

I was there for that, just nasty. Its so hard for the low budget racers to make from race to race. Esp when you break stuff

my dad talked to him on the phone cause we knw him and live by him.. he said his crew overtightened the bolts on the header it and it blew off
