It seems many people have forgotten what video games from the early 80's really looked like. definitely not like this. can anyone say "E.T. the extra terrestrial"?
@mrnathangunn yeah, had the description said it was a 1994 FMV game, it probably would have fooled most people. While it was funny, it just went way too far with the anachronisms.
This game was key for the survival of the 'movie genre' games though the video game crash of 1984. I think that 'Compute!' magazine had an entire spread about it.
this aint real. i remember the snes when it came out in 92 and the graphics werent as good then so ten years prior the graphics must of been utter shite yet this looks more modern.
This is actually fake, he just put in the effects so it would look like a time trial racing. Also in the beggining the game menu is also made up by some program. Now some people will say it isn't. And I say: how come he rides the tricycle the same way like in the movie? Observe the turns, just like in the movie, clearly fake. Anyway good job. So funny lol little Danny
I can't believe someone spent time putting together this elaborate farce, but didn't research enough to not make claims that were IMPOSSIBLE.
I love how kids think making something look "low-res" auto-magically means "Atari". If you had said, Sega Saturn or even SegaCD, maybe... maybe even Jaguar, but 2600? Nope.
Our copy of this disappeared soon after one of our grampa's visits, but he denied taking it.
One week later, though, we found him dead in his boxers in front of his Atari 2600. Even worse, we had to pry the joystick out of his cold, dead hands while the Shining game's "welcome" screen music played in a neverending loop. Karma's a bitch.

I don't understand how this was a playable game. How did you control the actions on the players when it looks like they just used scenes in the movie. Another thing, the graphics look TOO good to be an Atari 2600 game. Confused here...
almost had me for bit there :P
