I'm no mathematician, but could someone explain the 141% difference to me - surely A3 is twice the size of A4; ie: 100% bigger; 200% of the size

@justinhowes They're referring to the lengths of the sides rather than the area. The width of A3 is 1.41 (square root of 2) times the width of A4.
