Firstly, atheism isn't a religion. Secondly, atheism isn't about chance -- it's about evidence of god or there lack of. Why risk picking a religion if none of them can prove that god exists. Religions are about faith and there is nothing more risky than having faith in a book of which can only make assumptions about a god/gods. Atheists are normal human beings that don't waste their time on religion -- unless they're actively disproving it.
