I now have a new web site to help promote me as a speaker and to help promote the organizations’ I am connected with. Search my name Marty Sheedy in google and its my name as a web site. Please check it out and share it with others. Thank you for everyone’s kind words and support.
Very inspirational and touching brother. I am blessed to know you. you're attitude and the way you carry your self as a man and a mason is just wonderful! -Dom
I really admire you being that i have Arthrogryposis my self , i am 34 years old and your story is very similar to mine the only diference is that since my 30th birthday i stopped walking i am know wheelchair bound , you have inspired me to continue to live thank you and God bless.
i have arthrogryposis... i have it with club feet and the wrists, and muscle weakness... i am 22 now and work for a fortune 500 company... we share a great personality... i improvise in everything as well... have a good one!
What an inspiration! Keep up the great work Marty. I hope all your dreams come true.
I help a woman with AMC who has a beautiful 5 yr old son. She has the same ambition as you in wanting to help others. Your vid filled my heart with joy. All the very best to your and your lovely family.
you are an inspiration and your words should be a wake up call for everyone. Life is meant for living, seeing the best in everyone.and what powerful message at the end '' not feeling sorry for himself, life is too important and about how a person looks at life that affects how that person's life is '' those words should be a wake up call to all the people
You can find me on face book by searching Marty Sheedy. Thank you for all your kind comments. My goal is to help people and thats what I am aiming to do.
That was just awesome, so inspirational. My daughter was born with a disorder to both arms. We are currently waiting on results from scans done at neurologist. Hope one day we can find a great doctor to help us the way you wee helped.
my younger brother has Arthrogryposis in his arms and legs and he used to crawl every where when he was a toddler and now he has huge upper body strength.
Marty you're amazing!! :-) Your family is so adorable (esp. your grandma), and your friends seem awesome. Thanks for the outlook on life and congratulations on becoming more independent with your car (I feel the same way about my car, it gives me a lot of freedom that I didn't used to have!). I am studying to be a doctor and I liked hearing about what doctors did that were helpful and unhelpful to you.
im riley and i just want to say you are very inspirational and im sure that wasnt time you heard that and im sure it wont be the last! I also go to shriners hopital in chicago and i will one say be a shriner but i do love it oh so much it is the best place i am acctually going there tommorow
God bless you, Marty. Although I don't know you, I am very touched by your video and I have learned a lot about this condition because of you. My husband has a disability and he also gained independence with the hand controls on the vehicle. I wish you ALL the best in your life. :):)
Marty, thank you for being such an inspiration to us all. I have arthrogryposis and the Shriners Hospital in Greenville South Carolina helped me sooooo much. It is truly amazing there. you have the perfect outlook on things. Life is much too short to worry about what you dont have or what you can't do, go out and make the best of it! thank you so much
It was great to see your attitude. My sister was the same way. She had A.M. in every joint, club feet, and scoliosis. She passed away 5 years ago. She was only 11 years old, but she was just as much ambitious as you! Wheelchair bound, she had more obstacles. But it was great to see your video. Thank you!
Great video Marty! As someone who also has arthrogryposis, I can attest to the fact that attitude is everything and yours is pretty awesome my friend! Keep it up!
I commend you for joining the Masons and Shriners. Also for giving them a plug on your video. We seldom see a commentary on the internet from one of our patients even though we have provided services for over 800,000 kids. Your story and many others need to be told in order to keep up the interest in the fraternity. I hope your Shrine career brings you to be Potentate some day, we need people like you.
Did any of the people commenting here use Shriners Hospitals?
I, too, have Arthrogryposis and I believe you have discovered the secret. You must make an active choice to go out and make your life extraordinary. You only have one lifetime to make a positive impact on those who get to know you. You have certainly done that. I now regret more than ever that I was unable to attend the convention in Ohio. Keep on truckin', you are a true inspiration!
I met you in Ohio at the AMC Convention, you are an inspiration to Everyone! The kids with AMC can trully appreciate you, and how far you have come. Keep up the great spirits, the positive attitude, and thanx for sharing of yourself with the rest of the world.
Marty, I just wanted to drop you a note and say Thank You! Thank You for helping me understand the condition. When I see people like you I use to she away and feel sorry for them. Not anymore! You are an inspiration and I hope your story gets around. God bless you!
You continue to not only be an inspiration to every Mason and Shriner, but you truly live the tenets of our great fraternity, Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. I am very proud to call you Brother and Noble.
Marty is my cousin, love him to death! I'm so glad that more and more people are getting to know him and his story. His truly is an amazing person and intelligent beyond belief. I hope that everyone who sees this video passes it on to their friends and family. This story is an inspiration to everyone in the world to show no matter who you are, you can make your own future for the best regardless of your situation,or lifestyle. Be who you want to be, be yourself. Don't ever be told you can't.
Marty- I am a dear a friend-Mark Rogers, and you know I support you, because I have a lot of medical problems-some of which doctors have no idea-whats going on. But for me, I feel LEFT OUT!!!! lol. And for me-I can over diagnose what most doctors miss in a heart beat. I am tired of them telling me what they think is going on-when I know what is going on-so Good show marty-but seriously-MAN-YOU NEED TO UPDATE ME ON THIS SORT OF THING-I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO DO A LITTLE SCHPEEL...
Yes, Martin, you are an inspiration...and more. You're optimistic, self-possessed, caring, kind and loving. And what a terrific family you have. I wish you the very best in life.
wow, im supprised that i have the first comment. This kid is awesome! I'm always amazed that the people who have the hardest time in life often have the best lives at the same time :D
