The idea that the branches on a Christmas tree goes downwards might come from the fact that they might actually point slightly downwards if they become long enough, like they sometimes do in fully grown trees. This effect is of course enhanced when the trees are covered in heavy snow.
Although, I must say, when googling Picea, branches pointing even slightly downwards seems to be rare.
@TheThomQ These are just the scores for season A. Sandi Toksvig doesn't appear till season G and Johnny Vegas doesn't appear till season E...
I know this because when I'd finally tallied up the scores for the first five seasons, I realized that some one had beat me to the punch and devoted a web page to the same task.

If you'd like to check yourself, be my guest. It's quite interesting too... (pun intended!)
@MrLittletomdj There was a pun intended? I would stick to the day job :)
I'm not surprised people were confused by your previous comment as you clearly said 'seasons' as in the plural of 'season'. By that, people of course assumed you meant more than just series A. But it is of course not a worry for normal people, then again normal people don't go adding up the accumulated points contestants get on a panel show they watch. This sounds very cynical, and for that I can only apologise =]
I'm not sure by what objective standard you're measuring normality as your most recently farourited video is "Woman tells the future by looking at asparagus".
@MrLittletomdj Hmm yes I suppose the sensitive mind could have deemed that insulting. Rest assured I had no idea, that somebody would view it that way.
I urge you to please watch the 'Woman tells the future by looking at Asparagus' video. It isn't even a comedy skit. It is in my favourites so I can find it again. It is also in my favourites in the same way we all have a favourite 'dark joke'. Normal is not looking through strangers favourite videos. Good day to you, my dear fellow. =]
@khasab It's brought happiness into other peoples' lives, that's why it's the highest rated comment on this video & why I bothered to post it in the first place. It's a gift & to some it's an enjoyable thing to read. At least 58 people have enjoyed that comment, but I might take it down because I keep getting shit from trolls like you. So thanks!
@MrLittletomdj Well since you ask, I think I've accomplished the feat of expressing an opinion, which is what happens in the comments on you tube, and who knows, maybe I've helped you to see what a nerdy waste of time your exercise was, very trainspotting...the least important part of this show are the scores.and unlike you, I seem to have accomplished that without swearing or calling you rude names.
@khasab What you accomplished is insulting a complete stranger for a harmless comment which took little effort & for no good reason. You've provoked vitriol. You've done this on the comments section of a show that's devoted to peoples bizarre interests, studies & surveys. A show that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for nerdy, inquisitive minds like mine.
p.s. If you wan't to remove noise from tracks use soundforge & the Waves X-noise plug-in it's much better than that Audacity garbage.
"You'd see the silhouette of the bollocks as it went across the moon."
Nicely put :P
And regarding the drinking at 5 thing, I don't know if it's just changed since or it was just wrong, but my sister worked at a gastro-pub until a year ago and she said that even if the drink is bought by an adult, if a child is drinking in the pub garden or whatever they would be kicked out. And it wasn't just that pub being annoying, apparently it's like that in most places now.
Btw, "Sinterklaas is aangekomen" is the right way of putting it (It means as much as "Sinterklaas has arrived).

Is it something about the north, or my family that i knew the rule about kids drinking in beer gardens since i was about 6?
Also, i knew that Saint Nick was from Turkey because my church as a kid was the church of saint nick. We had Santa's motherfucking church!
