omg that horse is trained soooo well! was that your ridin instructor? she is a dish.
How many lessons did you have to ride so well? you have a great life doin all those things. you are so lucky to be making the most of things - you are an inspiration.
interesting vid. I always wonder if we'll ever have our own dup organs on hold if we need 'em. It you could replicate the process that differentiates the organs during the fetal stage... maybe even do it as needed. Prob would take a few months or a year tho.
Let's let everyone know so that anyone who has to make that sad choice of donating relatives' organs, will know how successful and rewarding their sacrifice has been. Chris
I Received A Liver Transplant At The Age Of 3 In 1986. I Was So Lucky, It Had Gotten Down To Where My Dr. Told My Family I More Than Likely Wouldn't Make It Past 48 Hours. Then The Parents Of This 11 Year Old Little Boy That Had Been There Passed Away (Brain Damage On A Boating Accident) & Where My Stomach Had Swollen So Much The Bigger Liver Of An 11 Year Old With Me Being 3 Worked. God Truly Does Make Miracles Happen. I Want To Meet My Donor Family, But Have No Idea How... Any Ideas Anyone?
Here in Ireland the contact person for donor families and donor recipients is the transplant coordination team. I personally,, have for the past 11 years sent a thank you card to my donor family via the coordinator. Are you on much medication? I hope one day to be able to give up the prograf and imuran. So man new discoveries are made all the time.
I injoyd your vedo, i also had a liver transplant a little over a year ago at the age of 40 i always injoyd life but and now i evan injoy it more espesly with my four children.
Myxomatosis, is a deadly disease that kills rabbits. It destroys their organs and they become blind and finally die. Often farmers deliberately spread this illness to exterminate rabbits and cause an epidemic. We shoot for the pot and are nature lovers. Rabbits are an important part of the foodchain, with foxes, stouts etc depending on them. THere are more humane ways of controlling them, we for instance never kill a lactating doe.
I'm not sure if they would do a human harm to eat, they look so pitifull though, with their swollen eyes and their organs are badly affected, their livers are very swollen. Spreading myxomatosis is a practice started in Australia at the time of a rabbit plague, that is why they built the rabbit proof fence across the country.
He goes under the name of roadrocket, type in dunmanway and some of his vids will come up. He's out shooting this afternoon with Molly, getting xmas dinner I hope...we small tubers must stick together, he also watches all your videos. How's your dog?
Clydesdale suits a strong guy like RR! hope I'd have the strength to overcome a a challenge like that. My card's been signed for 26 years of never driving a car and over 400 000 miles on motorbikes.
It's been two months and two weeks since my liver transplant and I feel great too! although sitting on my butt all day does get tedious; soon I will be back working again...and living a life that was given to me through organ donation.
Too bad they dont make immunosuppressive drugs in tasty fruity flavours!
You won't be taking prednisone much longer. It's one of the first drugs to go. Look after your general health and most importantly have a good laugh a day, nothing better. Chris has a new joke a day that insists on telling everyone.
Go Chris Go! I love this, how awesome! :) Huge congratulations to you, Chris! You are such an inspiration to me. Thank you, Yellolabrador, for this great video! :)
He is doing great. We're at the 7 1/2 year mark now. I have changed doctors for him and his new doctor (who has many years of experience) is weaning him down on his dose of immunosuppression. He tells me there might come a day when David can come off the drug altogether. That scares me! :) I'm so glad you are doing so great!!!!! I'm glad our paths have crossed here and I've had the opportunity to know your story. :)
hi jenny nice to hear i think that day will come for him i asked to try but they would not let me but i am only on half mg twice a day so its not too bad of prograf.
That's a really low dose, good for you! :) David was up to 5mgs a day. His new doctor was shocked they had him on so high a dose. I'm glad to have him coming back down to a low dose. Strange over here how things vary so much depending on the doctor.
Here in Ireland the policy seems to be to start on a high dose and lower to minimum following close monitoring of blood. Chris has a problem withh toxoplasmosis and needs to take septrin, but he's in better health than most and has very few colds, flu etc.
That's so cool that he doesn't have problems with the 'common' viruses. That has always scared me so much, especially sending David to school and mixing with so many kids. But David seems to get over colds and flu faster than my other kids do! lol :)
We've got several friends with multiple transplants and 8 years later they are doing fine. One lady had 3 in total. XChris will be making a video vlog about himself and his friends in the nxt couple of days
thanks for posting the video responces. When you're in Cork let us know if you want to come up country we'll entertain you. I'll give you my phone nr.

Wow, thanks for answering my question.
I am also a nature lover and don't object to hunting as long as it's for the pot.
I'm shocked to learn that farmers would deliberately spread this or any diesease.
Thanks again,
Elizabeth

Great video!!! Nice to see Chris living life to the fullest... We can all learn from his example.
I have a question... You said sadly all the rabbits had ???? What did they have?
Does it mean that you can't eat them?
How did they get it?
