I do not understand how Gellar was really Travis! When Gellar and Travis first female victim was dropped off she said there was TWO GUYS who abducted her and that she convinced the younger guy to let her go!! Then later on Gellar tells Travis he's been dead for 3 years...WTF?!?!

B. Dexter got caught not because he was careless or sloppy, but because Debra trapped him wich leads to A again.
And also because the producers needed to find a way of this to happen, in my opinion Debra trapping him was the best way to go.

It's showing that Deb's submission to her secret emotions was her key to learning Dexter's own secret, both literally and figuratively.

@normalpsychology Are you serious? The fourth season was a masterpiece, it made season 3 look like a crappy spin-off! Are you sure you don't mean seasons 1-4? Because that I can at least understand. Season 5 and Season 6 weren't as good as their predecessors, hands down. As far as season 3 goes, I just pretend it doesn't exist in the storyline because of how little relevance it has to the other seasons and how little an impact it made to the series in general. Very upsetting.

I mean, the one scene that did it for me was the "painting Dexter as the devil" scene. I miss the newness of the series and have almost always said (even since the first season) that it should end within a few seasons. This kind of story needs to be Shakespearian... ending with death.
@normalpsychology I think a huge part of the problem was Scott Buck being the season's showrunner. I hope they hire a new one for season 7. I did enjoy season 6 for a few reasons though, like Brother Sam and the finale's cliffhanger. Other than that, I wasn't too impressed. They shamelessly wasted some brilliant ideas, turning it into complete garbage. For one, how they crafted the Nebraska episode. And two, Gellar being the one to turn up dead instead of that lame-ass Travis.

@normalpsychology Well bear in mind, we really only know so much about Louis' character aside from his fascination with both Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer. That was actually one of the few plot lines I enjoyed this season because it seemed like they were channeling the style of season one by introducing an innocent character that really isn't so innocent. Also, I think the game designing thing was just his ploy. You'll notice how he dropped the idea upon Dexter's wishes.

I mean, that's why I would never predict Dexter dying or being caught or anything. TV people are too fearful of losing money to do anything truly artistic now-a-days. Also, Louis will definitely design some sort of game where-in Dexter is HIS prey. There's a 0% chance anything other than that will happen. I dislike this next "target" of Dexter very much.

I read an interview online in which Scott Buck stated that Louis will not be the main antagonist of the next season. This either means they're savoring him for later, or he may just play the part as a minor villain. And no, he abandoned the whole game idea. His only interest now is sticking around Miami Metro so he can toy with Dexter a bit more.

They really overdid season 6 imo, all those HIGHLY unlikely plots (the gas in the station, the pickup at sea, the chance to smash the devils painting, the fact that dexter didn't change locks while his keys and wallet were in the hands of travis, batista surviving travis AND fire, etc.) and way to many storylines stuffed in one season are the result of forcing to create something better than the previous seasons. The nuances, the monologues, the mysteriousness is gone.
The seventh season of Dexter should be 1 episode long. After Dexter reveals to Deb that he is a serial killer, she should reveal to Dexter that she is, in fact, a man by showing her dick. Then Dexter should stab Laguerta to death because she looks like a fat gummy bear. Then he should kill Batista caus he's a fat idiot. Then Peter Weller should come back to life and continue a spin off something along the line of Zombie Robocop.
The newest season of Dexter (season six) is the worst thing I've ever watched. If you're a true fan of Dexter, you'll stop watching after season three ends. It's all down hill from there.
I forget his name but the video game designer seems really fascinated by Dexter, he was the one who bid on the arm auction, he seemed really down when Dexter turned his idea down. He probably knows that Dexter is the Bay Harbor butcher. Maybe he's gonna be so pissed about Dexter's reaction to his video game that he react somehow...maybe become a serial killer, try to get back at Dexter somehow, or possibly lead the police to find new evidence of the Bay Harbor Butcher leading to Dexter.

s06 is disappointing. It is going downhill. There are no sinister or scary guest acts with scary backstories.They are fucking it up . I planned to add the dvd to my little collection now I am not so sure. I slept thru 2 episodes and when I watched them whilst commuting I had to jump thru some of the mundane scenes and totally useless scenes.
Season 6 started a little slow, but after yesterday's episode, it seems that it will go really dark. I won't spoil it for those who missed it, but Jesus Christ, the remaining six episodes will be really messed up I'm guessing.
I am super stoked about this season and I think it is awesome that they are trying to give Dexter some type of guilty conscious....even if it does consist of a religious view. @normalpsychology Well bear in mind, we really only know so much about Louis' character aside from his fascination with both Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer. That was actually one of the few plot lines I enjoyed this season because it seemed like they were channeling the style of season one by introducing an innocent character that really isn't so innocent. Also, I think the game designing thing was just his ploy. You'll notice how he dropped the idea upon Dexter's wishes.

I mean, that's why I would never predict Dexter dying or being caught or anything. TV people are too fearful of losing money to do anything truly artistic now-a-days. @normalpsychology Well I suppose we all have different opinions and tastes. As far as Louis is concerned, though, you needn't worry. I read an interview online in which Scott Buck stated that Louis will not be the main antagonist of the next season. This either means they're savoring him for later, or he may just play the part as a minor villain. And no, he abandoned the whole game idea. His only interest now is sticking around Miami Metro so he can toy with Dexter a bit more.

They even made it clear that Louis is now looking to play "real life games" rather than program computer ones. That made it very, very obvious. It's a pity that they talk down to their audience. @normalpsychology Some people made predictions, and many hadn't the slightest clue (as far as I could tell from the Dexter fan page on FB). However, I respect your viewpoints. But Dexter still has a strong fan base who don't necessarily need everything to be perfectly realistic, considering the idea of the show itself is simply not. They just love the show for what it is and what it delivers. As a true fan who's been following the show since Season 1, I intend to keep watching.

I simply feel as though the show needs to END to keep it as wonderful as it had been previously. I find it so striking that people don't understand this concept. They really overdid season 6 imo, all those HIGHLY unlikely plots (the gas in the station, the pickup at sea, the chance to smash the devils painting, the fact that dexter didn't change locks while his keys and wallet were in the hands of travis, batista surviving travis AND fire, etc.) and way to many storylines stuffed in one season are the result of forcing to create something better than the previous seasons. The nuances, the monologues, the mysteriousness is gone.

The seventh season of Dexter should be 1 episode long. After Dexter reveals to Deb that he is a serial killer, she should reveal to Dexter that she is, in fact, a man by showing her dick. I forget his name but the video game designer seems really fascinated by Dexter, he was the one who bid on the arm auction, he seemed really down when Dexter turned his idea down. He probably knows that Dexter is the Bay Harbor butcher. Maybe he's gonna be so pissed about Dexter's reaction to his video game that he react somehow...maybe become a serial killer, try to get back at Dexter somehow, or possibly lead the police to find new evidence of the Bay Harbor Butcher leading to Dexter.

season 1 was great ITK v Dexter, season 2 was greater with Bay harbor butcher case doakes&lila, dexter almost got caught, season 3 was ok, season 4 great again trinity and the shocking season finale, season 5 not so good but there was some good moments. already saw the first episode of season 6 looking forward for more :)

I have trouble getting thru most episodes as they are too predictible, the plot points are too limited.The only chance the asian guy had to get a date they blew it up and they made him look like a fool. when everyone else on the show had the chance for a good fuck and heartfelt break ups.La Huerta and her ex have nearly zero screen presence..

s06 is disappointing. It is going downhill. There are no sinister or scary guest acts with scary backstories.They are fucking it up . I planned to add the dvd to my little collection now I am not so sure. I slept thru 2 episodes and when I watched them whilst commuting I had to jump thru some of the mundane scenes and totally useless scenes.

I'm pretty disappointed with season six already. Religious tones, the hum-drum lifestyle of Dexter with his child, no where to go. The it was all down-hill since season one, but the seasons have yet to be anything less than "really good." Season one through three, of course, being "epic."
