I still remeber when they used to have the old yellow thunderbolt and the siren would go off at noon. now they only do it on wendesdays. anyways 5/5 because that is my town to :)
Oh, I just ment in the way it was used for a Fire. They don't normally do that these days in my town. First time I had heard it is years it seems. I think they do other ways of signaling the volunteer firefighters now. Though I could be totally wrong.
they dont sound the sirens at all for fires anymore, they only sound it if they have to call another city to help my dad with a fire, my dad is a leutenant(dont know how to spell that) fire fighter at Portage

This isn't exactly an old siren. ;)
This is a Federal Signal 2001 series siren doing fast wail. It has battery backup in case main power fails.
