  • this is not only concern to teachers, all we have to concerns parents, worry about their children.

where they hug with, who are their friends. make them feel love..

  • It looks like the whole system is set up to make sure most students fail. Its more about the teachers than the students. This is insane!

  • @KJS72 Blaming the teachers? You're a dumbass.

  • This video explains a lot. Its a real shame. So much potential thrown down the drain.

    And for what?

  • @jnyerere Hey bro, this is the internet and I'm typing from a cell phone. Please dont judge my grammar by a youtube comment.

  • Holy crap thank God my fobby mom wanted to ship my ass to Indonesia to get an education.

  • Whaaat? School's not that bad, it actually very seriously academic... Or is it really that bad in Non-AP?

  • @hat1324 based on your grammar, the American school system really needs reform. No offense to you.

  • What makes it even sadder is that the Belgian kids who whipped the butts off the New Jersey kids in that math test is that they all probably speak at least two languages.

  • @PungiFungi American, you need to work on your English skills.

  • @Hrdycv , English IS my second language.

  • Why i think the USA is stupid ?

    His fucking SOPA and PIPA

  • This is so depressing. This country is heading nowhere. It's so embarrassing when they ask Americans simple geograhy questions that students in "underdeveloped" nations know, they don't know. There's going to be a point where people are going to be embarrassed to say they're American lol

  • lol. Instead of fostering muscle and geeks and not nerds, spend money on a library. Australia prevented a recession by pumping money in the education system and was extremely successful. it wasn't spent on crap, but on more classrooms, books, and other infrastructure to expand the learning environment. my school alone got 2 new classrooms and an upgraded library... I spent most of after school doing homework there and was extremely successful.

  • that's sad. I'm Australian and I know all of this by randomly talking with friends... I'll definitely change my preferences from harvard to tokyo uni... got to learn Japanese

  • @ManyThings26 Romans weren't defeated by Christians, Christianity was the main religion of the Empire by the time of its fall. They were defeated through a combination of economic instability, civil war, and Germanic invasions, those Germanics were mostly Pagans.

  • What is scary is that these are average kids so 50% are dumber than this

  • Education needs a reform to fit the new ways of the 21st century. America is being educated on how education was performed in the 1700s.

  • @Blue25040 You mistake my point. In my school, someone who gets good grades is someone who is an object to be made fun of. It's a really terrible example for anyone trying to get better and it rests at the heart of the problem: The kids have been brought up with little interest in education.

  • @pat5168 ^^^What a load of bull shit. lol

  • @2ppvoxx So, how can you explain that people un USA are not able to locate correctly other countries on a map, they are not able to calculate the Hypothenuse of a square triangle ! They don''t even remember their own history ! Hey ! Money is not the solution, Money is not a god, but a purpose for people to obtain wellness, so those who are taking all money are criminals, because money was made to flow, not to be collected like Uncle Scrooge

  • @2ppvoxx And, Are you able to speak a foreign language ? Are you able to think REALLY different ? ( not as in PEPSI ads) ? What are you thinking about ? do you believe that Paradise is yours just because your country is the most powerfull, Romans thought that 2000 years ago, they were defeated by far more civilized people they called "Christians"

  • @ManyThings26 You seriously need to work on your reading skills, because I'm not an American and I have never lived in the USA either. lol

  • @pat5168 That's only because your government just sees you as a bunch of consumers, The Real education that TV and Medias are getting to people is :Be stupid, no need to be smart ! Smart people are boring morons, they are soooooooo stupid ! That's why more and more people all over the world began to nreally hate America ! Only for the dumbness and its freaky consequences all around the world !

  • Since its opinion time, I think that if individuals were taught to listen and respect others, and if not were punished they would learn.

  • @Dibbleg1 That's a part of the answer ! not the whole thing, but that's a good start : Pay respect to your teacher !

  • this is bullshit americans are the most retarded people on earth and they wont admit it

  • american teens are so stupid.....when its their time to rule america......america will collapse.

  • @btavv There were no directions on its length.

  • I feel like my school is really holding me back. In History, I once turned in an 8 page essay on Alexander the Great that I labored over for a week. My teacher looked at it and said "Too long, do it over." without bothering to read it. I really feel like I need to dumb it down and restrict myself now so I get an accepted grade.

  • @pat5168 Restrict? You're just too dumb to figure out how to write a short essay and follow the teacher's instructions.

  • @pat5168 Do you always make such a drama out of everything? He just wanted it shorter....big deal....sigh

  • I agree with the mom which said "The system is stupid".

  • It's actually a great idea! The government gives each student money to pick their own private school of choice. Get rid of public school. With that system private schools will compete for students, rather then a socialist system in our public school that offers no competition for getting the students to be in their schools. Anything run by the government is a recipe for chaos.

  • @thequickster9

"Anything run by the government is a recipe for chaos"

Sure, who needs a captain on a ship. Idiot...

  • @thequickster9

Sounds like a bad idea. Here in Finland everyone attends a public school and were no. 1 in the PISA tests frequently. Its not bad if its run by the government as long as the government cares about it. Socialism isnt always bad. Infact capitalism isnt always good either. Capitalism tends to forget children are people and not statistics. You have to find a balance.

  • @SaunaFinland I'd have to agree with you. Politicians here don't care about our education, it seems like they want to keep us at the bottom forever, they never want to see us progress.

  • This video makes me sick. This describes everything I hate about public schools. I will NEVER put my children in public school.

  • I am so sick of society leaving everything up to the teachers! What about holding the parents responsible for the lack of interest the students?? I bet if these kids where disciplined at home for not making the grade at school and punished when not behaving the way they should America's academic performance would be far better since kids would actually try to succeed in school. I'm Just going by what worked for me while I was growing up...

  • @melijaje06 One time on real time bill maher commented (i am paraphrasing) that when he was a kid it was teachers and parents against the kid. Now it is teachers vs the parents and the kids. I think that is the problem. teachers are not given the freedom to do what is necessary to teach a class.

  • @kaganmatthew83 Yeah, you're right. Teachers need to be allowed explore other methods of teaching since the ones that are currently in place are not all that successful. By the way I think I saw that episode from bill maher you are speaking of he was pretty much on target with that argument :)

  • @melijaje06 How bout this, fuck disciplining them, how about trying to get them INTERESTED in school? People don't have to hate learning, I know my grades skyrocketted as soon as I started becoming interested in things like science, economics, etc; I wanted to know, and information fascinated me.

Parents can do a lot to help incite that in their kids, starting from a young age even.

Kids are curious when they're young, that's why they do well in school. It should stay that way.

  • @Spjungen

    "skyrocketted" > "skyrocketed"

"How bout this, fuck disciplining them, how about trying to get them INTERESTED in school?" > *** grammar/punctuation fail ***

  • • DONT READ THIS CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS. YOU WILL GET KISSED ON THE NEXT NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BY YOUR LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. TOMMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE HOWEVER IF YOU DONT POST THIS ON THE NEXT THREE VIDEOS YOU WILL DIE WITHIN THE NEXT TWO DAYS. NOW, YOUVE ALREDY STARTEDREADING DONT STOP. THIS IS SCARY PUT THIS ON THE FIVE VIDEOS IN THE NEXT 143 MINUTES. WHEN YOUR DONE PRESS F6 AND YOUR LOVERS NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE SCREEN. THIS IS SCARY CAUSE IT WORKS

  • Good Idea = People must take a test before they can eat fast food. People get smarter, and we don't have as many land whales wobbling around.

  • Even if those kids clothes is made out of money if they're not going to listen and keep smoking weed then they will always be stupid until they die!

  • I live in Gilbert Arizona and my Highschool has a $100,000 dollar welding shop, $70,000 dollar woodshop, and much more. I would put my school up against any average foreign school.

  • @GrenVo

May I inquire about your knowledge of foreign schools after watching a outdated documentary.

    Sorry man, but fuck off.

  • @Risefotruth Why should he defend himself? You're the one claiming to know about foreign schools.

  • @sbdb7 What is wrong with you? You fucking went through like eleven of my posts to highlight my "incorrect spelling" when I was clearly using slang. Get a fucking life. LMAO. "Yeh It Teh FuKin IntErneT." I was just making a point. When you ask questions to somebody you shouldn't use two exclamation points.

  • @Risefotruth Is this guy for real? lol

  • @Risefotruth this great but, too bad you live it statistically the dumbest state. And this stuff is great if you want everyone to be welders or plumbers. What happens if you decide you want to be sucessful?? I guess you have to move huh?

  • @fugginuts

First off i think you need to use correct punctuation and grammar to make a point. Second off we have computers classes, foreign language of your choice, aviation, a good sports curriculum. We also have photography, pottery, and programming classes.

Also i understand statistically we may be one of the "less intelligent" states, but i assure you, we have our golden schools also.

  • @Risefotruth Don't complain about his punctuation and grammar, when yours isn't great either, not to mention that you constantly write "i" instead of "I".

  • @Risefotruth $100,000 welding shop, $70,000 wood shop and a bunch of spoiled rotten, stupid miscreants. By the way, you don't need to write "dollars" when you use the dollar sign. So much for your schooling jackass!

  • I heard Ron Paul Say that

  • Time to revamp our schools and make it so our future can compete with the rest of the world

  • Ron Paul has it right again......cut education

  • This is why im voting for ron paul!! No more department of education!

  • do you realize that in the middle of the video governor mark sanford is the one who went to argentina to screw his mistress?

no wonder the system is totally fucked up.

  • @MrCherubhair1 been WWII. they hired germans during the revolution to fight the americans. but back to the earope ww2 subject. so, we didnt save europe eh? sure, heck we coulda stayed home and not sacrificed all those lives to save briton, france, and many other european contrie's butts! we coulda lay back and let the japs and nazis and the italians, go right ahead and take briton, take china, possibly take larger parts of russia then they already took, heck we shoulda joined em, front row seats

  • @FoodleDoodleStudios ah-hem, it appears you do not understand history in any way whatsoever. The Nazi's did not and could not take Britain, our forces were too good and too many, protected as an island it was extremely difficult to assault and take over Britain. They easily took France. When the Nazi's proceeded an assault on Russia, towards the end of the war the Russians fought back, the nazi's worn down NOT BY AMERICANS but by the COLD WEATHER and the russian army.

  • @FoodleDoodleStudios The russian army then proceeded towards berlin in their hunt for hitler (alone i let you presume, not with american troops) and fact, The Eastern Front was decisive in determining the outcome of World War II, eventually serving as the main reason for Germany's defeat. Not the American's. You did take the Japanese and i commend you for that. Also in D-Day it was not the ''hardest beach to fight upon'' it was the ''bloodiest most unprepared''.

  • @FoodleDoodleStudios ''The offensive to capture central Germany and Berlin started on 16 April with an assault on the German front lines on the Oder and Neisse rivers. After several days of heavy fighting the Soviet 1BF and 1UF punched holes through the German front line and were fanning out across central Germany. By 24 April, elements of the 1BF and 1UF had completed the encirclement of Berlin and the Battle of Berlin entered its final stages''. Learn your history America.

  • @FoodleDoodleStudios I do agree that without America, we would probably have to fight Japan, but i am more than sure that Russia would prevail, it would just be a different battle, where America would have to fight the Russian's through a more impressive buffer zone and more land control, the cold war would be much more intense and possibly more nuclear, and the world would possibly be fucked over if Britain and the allies failed. But still, learn your history,k 'countries'

  • @MrCherubhair1 oops, thought i clicked onna different video, so that comment makes no sense, but anyway with the freedom thing, briton was a world power, they were a super power, they defeated spain and france, they were babarians wanting land and riches, then cam teh colonies, the colonies were origionally started by people escaping england to have freedom and al, then briton took over, and we fought back. if we didnt win, briton would still probably be a world power, heck, thered would have be

  • Stupid frikken Aussies, frikken faggots, why u complaining about us? What have u morons ever done to deserve any respect huh? Aussies got it good, they were just a bunch of prisoners that got dumped here and Rey started colonizing, we had to frikken fight for our freedom! People actually died when we started our country, we defeated the largest super power at the time, with help from France of course,we changed the way government worked! We invented freedom! We rescued Europe, defeating 3 count

  • @FoodleDoodleStudios America invented feedom? Thats not true. And america rescued europe? Not true either.

  • That union leader bitch is the ugliest, most repulsive piece of shit I've ever seen...she and everyone in that fucking auditorium need to be FIRED.

  • Public education...public healthcare...public fucking ANYTHING is the biggest most ridiculous scam in history.

I pray for the day in which the free market will once again revolutionize the world and most if not all of our problems will be solved.

  • @Spjungen Just the point I was going to make....the problem with education? Its standardised, its public, its governed and controlled centrally, away from the communities where maybe, just maybe there is no "one size fits all" education policy. Plus people who go into teaching aren't exactly the brightest apples in the barrel. Look at the scandinavian countries where you need a PhD to teach high school and get paid the salary of a doctor....

  • Easy solution: Khan Academy! Free, amazing education on youtube! He started with a computer and youtube and has educated millions through his amazing and free teaching abilities.

  • @Hawkallica I think it's a great idea but the bad side teachers are fired (which would make them get even more pissed) and children wouldn't be socializing

  • I'm RACIST for criticizing Obama.

TERRORIST because I'm not with Bush.

ANTISEMITIC for not supporting Rothschild Zionism.

    TEABAGGER for supporting the Constitution.

    TRUTH-ER for asking unanswered questions.

TRAITOR for whistle-blowing on my corrupt Government.

CONSPIRACY THEORIST for presenting documented facts.

TROLL for uploading news, videos, quotes and U.S.Atrocities.

ANTI-AMERICAN for supporting Constitutionalism like Dr. Ron Paul.

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • @TheReturnofLurker15 Don't encourage people to spam that stupid shit all over the internets. GTFO!!

  • @TheReturnofLurker15

    "I'm RACIST for criticizing Obama."

You're a racist for supporting racist Ron Paul

  • @Ycc145 You're a slave for believing everything faux nooz or CNN tells you.

  • @TheReturnofLurker15 FAGGOT for sucking dicks and liking it!

  • @TheReturnofLurker15 ew gross... it's one thing to be against rothschilds and another to be against zionism... their country was hijacked exactly the same way ours was... further more im on the fence about ron paul... his supporters tend to overlook the disturbing facts as irrelevant and brush them off... but at the same time he generally has his logical reasons... like anti CIVIL RIGHTS ACT and pro-Confederacy... you can butter them up but they don't go down smooth...

  • @ItIsBadForU sceptics, lol. fail.

  • btw check out an article from theatlantic(.)com about "what americans keep ignoring about Finland's school success"

competition, firing teachers, stopping unions and so forth may not be the ideal way like this documentary suggests.

  • when the hell did atheism become a religion..........

  • What ghetto school were u filming?????

  • After watching this video it seems clear to us watching that the unions have really got it wrong as far as the kids are concerned but not for themselves. They are in the game only for the money, the easy hours, long holidays & health benefits. They know exactly what they are doing & that's why they are so strong as a unit. It's up to the intelligent teachers who actually care about the education of the kids & the parents to do something to put an end to the bureaucracy in the US education system.

  • @donnavmanolis check out an article from theatlantic(.)com "what americans keep ignoring about Finland's school success" it shades some more light what could be done inside states. "real winners don't need competition" and equality creates success. Check it out. But again just one example of how to fix education :)

  • I guess I'll put my two cents in. People say that public school funds should be reduced. But why? I mean, I go to a public school and it is not the best, but I do learn a lot. A lot of my friends are smart I believe. Our private school last year, their graduating class was only 6 students. Now it is shut down. Still no money is coming to our school system despite the fact that we have students who want to learn. I am still new to these school/government stuff but IDK why we cant get more money.

  • you cant blame teachers blame yourself john stossle am i going to have to bring out dr.death remeber what happend last time you steped outta line

  • alright, that 1st tape is bullshit. If it's after finals, teachers don't do a shitload of stuff. Also, they're clearly showing off for the cameras.

  • First rule of thumb: never expect anything good come from above. You want a good education? Educate yourself! Public education should be reduced to a minimum to make room for private efforts.

  • @Skandalos true! We have big classrooms in Finland too. My elementary education was with 33others and one teacher. After that in middle school the average was around 30. And education isn't supposed to be that fun. School is the kids day job and it teaches them responsibility. And most kids are motivated by teachers who make the subject interesting like for example physics:it is dull, but if you say that the whole universe is open for exploration with physics it just works. Exploration is fun.

  • They're

  • the people at 6 min....fuck there stupid, im American and i know all that shit

  • if you havent, watch "the soviet story" (2008)...stupid. lol.....

  • Government dominated monopoly, just like the Military.

Competition will make everything better? Only if that is the only goal and outcome of winning, which it isn't. Competition NEEDS enforceable rules.

  • @letsomethingshine Are you serious?

In a free market of education, shitty schools will run out of business and get a bad name, and will have to either get better or run out fo business, it is the people who vote with their money who decides which school is better, not the schools.

Exactly what enforceable rules would you put for competition and for what end?

  • @TheStrangerInTheRye

Yes, I was serious. And I kinda agree with your second paragraph, so idk why you were giving me that tid bit of common narrative. Rules for competition would have to include a common standard of competition and oversight. If I was a private school I would only allow smart kids into my school, I would make it an "all rich kid" school to make max profit, and would waste most of my profits on looks rather than substance. It sucked in the past, that's why they changed it.

  • If you raise your kids to be sceptics you'll raise intellectuals and thinkers. If you raise them into a religion thatthey have to believe in something of which they have no proof of THAT is how you create stupid people. It is okay for kids to believe in god and santa because they are kids but if you allow them to hink for themselves and not forcefeed religion they will start to think for themselves and become intellectuals and maybe stop blindly believin at the age of reason.

  • @ItIsBadForU Complete garbage. Some of the greatest inventions and discoveries in humanity were made by people of faith. The belief that for someone to be an "intellectual" or a "thinker" they must have no belief in the supernatural is a very close-minded belief. Very few people who believe in a religion believe it blindly, many have experienced events to lead them to belief. So get off your high horse, and let people think for themselves. An interesting aside, your spelling is atrocious.

  • @nikolaib I'm from Finland so suprisingly my spelling isn't that good and a write pretty fast so I don't have time to do spell checks.Name great inventions that were made because of faith? In the medieval times and pretty much up to the 20th century people had to say that they were people of faith and many grants and opportunities in astronomy/science were offered by rich churhes. That doesn't prove one way or the other wether the person in question was a believer.

  • @nikolaib and you say that people don't believe blindly? Well the human mind is a complex thing it can make you think you are awake even though you are a sleep and if you activate different parts of the brain you can have a"god experience"or the feeling that somebody is watching.Religion is the biggest delusion in the world and if you have people who have the same delusion it just feeds the monster. Same with people who have experienced UFO abductions same delusion, same brain function.

  • @ItIsBadForU "Religion is the biggest delusion in the world" - Of which atheism is an example.

  • @Huboons atheism isn't a religion you don't have to do anything to be an atheist. No worshipping no rules nothing it is just an answer to one question: do you believe that there is a god?-no, then that makes you an atheist. Nothing more. Allthough many atheists are also sceptics and humanist or something else so they have something in common. In a way if you believe in a christian god you are an atheist towards all the other gods like Thor, allah,Horus, and so forth.

  • @ItIsBadForU Yes, atheism is a religion and it's based on faith that there is no creator. Agnosticism is a lack of faith. Atheism has organized, dogmatic meetings, it's members proselytize (as you are doing here) and it attacks competing philosophies. It also has prophets (Richard Dawkins).

  • @Huboons what the hell are u talking about.I am an atheistand I don't attend meetings we don't worship anyone and Dawkins isn't a profet lol.The only thing that atheists sometimes do is trying to reason and debate but that does not make it a religion.A movement maybe.I do sometimes comment on youtube but that in no way compares to, prayer or a sunday mass or walking from door to door because I am made to do that or I might go to hell.Nobody is making me do anything! It is freedom!

  • Comment removed

  • @ItIsBadForU people don't know what they don't know. And they definitely won't know if they aren't shown. it doesn't have to do with religion, maybe there's more that you could learn about it.

  • @thegrandjew maybe. I never pass an opportunity to learn :) But what I've learned so far is what I know, but we'll see what life will teach me in the future. There is a finnish consept that we are taught at school called"lifelong learning"which we should treasure. Learning never stops even if you've graduated from college or university there is always more to learn and more to be educated. I yearn for information, but I critically evaluate that information and draw my own conclusions in the end.

  • @ItIsBadForU that's good to hear. American society is a bit different than in Finland. you guys are a much smaller country, highly industrialized, and have the infrastructure to move the population into skilled work. America is a big country, the guinea pig of industrialization, and we DON'T have the infrastructure. We have good universities but they're on the business model, meaning you pay thousands to go. And a lot of work here doesn't require education or benefit from it

  • americans are stupid LOL :) :)

  • @101LiquidNitrogen Americans

  • @nimchimpskii dude don't even try correct my punctuation in order to uplift your intelligence. that was done on purpose. i have a 160iq so chances are im smarter than u. oh and if u want to correct any of my punctuation in this sentence need i remind u that there is something called slang.

  • @101LiquidNitrogen O_O 160 iq dang

  • @101LiquidNitrogen Oh really,160 IQ ?,What is your Mensa number? "dude".

  • @qotsaandsoadfan1 not in mensa im in the triple nine society.

  • @101LiquidNitrogen Lol, I agree dude. I hate it when I am debating with someone and misspell something and they use that against me. I'm like, wtf, this is youtube, so what if people misspell stuff?! It doesn't say anything bad about them. Just that they mistyped something. Keep up the smarts man.

  • Why are Americans stupid? It's the media. Media distractions, such as 20/20.

  • Actually in my school we are very responsible nobody get lower then 80% and 90% it a really cool school there are no rules but we study so hard to make it the best scbool

  • DAMN! $77,000 is about 3 pounds of gold! or a house , my dad bought a home for just under that in 2000.

  • This is EXACTLY how it was in my high school here in Arizona. I had to relearn everything on my own once I got out. I was very behind in math as well and had to take remedial classes in the local community college. I am ashamed, but I don't care how long it takes for me to learn everything I can in order to succeed. I am willing to spend countless hours studying in order to learn and earn my Master's Degree some day.

  • Mark Sandford loves to hike..err visit peru..lol

  • americans are NOT STUPID!!!..pay more to teachers not the administration.

    love from

    india

  • It's not money that we need, it's time we need. I get almost all As but the information is forgotten because I'm rushed. I need more time to process the information as permanent, not just something to pass a test. *sigh*

  • This never happens in our school?

  • Ok, we get it. we're stupid. You can leave us alone now

  • Anyone with an iq below 120 should be exterminated.

  • @hijacker050 I have a 116 IQ and I'm an electrical engineering major with a 3.5 GPA. IQ tests are meaningless.

  • @jeenyus720

I agree, a high IQ is meaningless unless it's applied.

  • @jeenyus720

    I don't agree,

IQ test results aren't made to be totally accurate in pointing out an exact number, but they are very good indicators.

  • @hijacker050 IQ tests are based solely on logic. There are a lot more factors that determine intelligence that an IQ test does not provide.

  • @jeenyus720 "There are a lot more factors that determine intelligence that an IQ test does not provide" - Wrong.

  • @jeenyus720 According to the MENSA test, I have an IQ of 174, and I don't believe in the test either.

  • @jeenyus720 what if your degree is meaningless?

  • These things /really don't/ happen at my school, for the most part.

  • Quite alot of black people in this video. Is that representative? Has black population surpassed white population in numbers?

  • Stupid in America: yeah, you bet. This is why idiots take anything a neo-con like Stossel says seriously. I'll fix your problems very, very quickly.

    1. Get rid of all school boards. So, you own a local pizza chain huh? Makes you think you should run for school board eh? Sit down and shut up, then go away.

    2. Raise teacher salaries. Think you don't solve problems by throwing money at it? You're an idiot.

    3. Elect people who support education instead of hating it.

    You're welcome.

  • @katowestfootball26

You're right on with Number 2, there. The US spends more $ per pupil than any country except Denmark, Switzerland and Austria, but practically NONE of that $ is going to teachers!! Compared to other western nations, our teachers are HORRIBLY paid. Who can blame bright people from staying away from teaching? I have a feeling all of this money is winding up in the hands of all the corporations and contractors who hover around the education world.

  • @Personmr what are you saying?

  • its a problem everywhere really , i suppose if you cant motivate a teacher then how can they motivate the students ?

  • not stupid but ignorant. not knowing something isnt being stupid its not knowing, being stupid is doing something you'r told it will kill you or harm you and you do it, thats stupid. have you seen the student? no uniforms? let me tell you, uniforms help for discipline and it lowers the status quo of who is "cool" and who is not cool because everyone is the same not having to worry about peer pressure much atleast. also a not boring teacher does make a difference.. i experienced it myself.

  • @WiseOldDudee ignorance leads to stupidity

  • anyone know where John got the graph on the steps required to fire a bad teacher, i have been searching but i can not seem to find it and it would be great to have for my senior project any help would be great thank you

  • I think the kids, teachers and the parents are the problem. Just an overall dumber society since 40 years ago (desegregation cough, cough)

  • A 993 on the SAT? That's less than half of my score... I didn't study at al...

  • @hippiebrother3 Don't you know? Everyone is a genius online. The average IQ of people online is 150.

  • @ninjajesus81 Twice of 993 still isn't that good... I couldn't break into the 2000s. I'm not a genius, the people failing the SAT just can't read, the test isn't hard compared to IB/AP tests. The only challenge is not sleeping, which I have to say I couldn't care less about the test past section 4.

  • The Problem is that parents are too lazy to educate their kids and show them respect. That's why is it easier to blame the school system for their kids failures when the one responsible are the Parents.

  • these kids aren't learning anything, because they don't want to. they have found other things that they'd rather preoocupy their lives with. like popular culture, fashion, sports, restauraunts, drama, or maybe they live in an abusive situation, and their enviornment does not permit it. our society teaches them that they can get through life by just getting lucky, like the people in the movies.

our society spoils the young people by giving them rights, but not responsibilities.

  • I believe I can clarify: our culture is a culture of indulgence. these kids don't want to learn because they are being too heavily influenced by the media, tv, and the bad influence of bad rolemodels of the lower class. to be honest, it is many things. our culture tells these young folk endlessly of their rights, but does not expect anything out of them. and the even younger children are having the idea of "you're a winner no matter what" pumped into their heads.

    it's total bullshit.

  • there is no such thing as a bad teacher...its like saying there are bad Plumbers ...teaching is extremely easy...also education is only poor in bad neighborhoods..because of the SOCIAL DYSFUNCTION

  • @TheJasonDR No, there are bad teachers. Some just don't explain the material very well.

And there are bad plumbers too. Where are you getting this idea that everyone is good at their job?

  • @ninjajesus81 ...I grew up in a rough Neighborhood..and my family moved around alot and I have seen it all really...I have seen kids slap teachers and not get in trouble...I have seen teachers pull out a students ear ring and have him bleed on the floor...I have seen the worst of the worst....luckily I moved to a really good Neighborhood that actually had a Psychologically healthy population...and I will tell you something it is all about the family life ...and nothing else

  • @TheJasonDR Some teachers have students who consistently get bad grades in their class. A family life doesn't explain that.

You basically said that all teachers are good at their job. Plumbers too. You've yet to justify that statement.

  • @ninjajesus81 ...Teaching is probably the easiest job in the world...literally the job entails explaining a subject that you understand and have studied ...good neighborhood schools are great poor neighborhood schools are terrible....MEANING IT IS ONLY ABOUT THE (FAMILY LIFE)...I cannot stress that enough ...its all about the Psychological heath of a given population

  • @TheJasonDR Just because you know how to do something, doesn't mean you can explain how to do it to someone else.

Anne Sullivan taught a blind and deaf girl how to read and write. You're saying anyone who can read and write could have done that?
