  • @bignij73 I just retuned from Tok a few days ago and the cabin is now finished. I also retired about 6 weeks ago. Hope to have a more video up soon. Thanks for taking a look.

  • zzzzzzzzzzz snoozefest

  • I have to do this. For my own personal happiness.

  • If your wanting to get away from people that is a good area to go. Away from all the big cities just you, the bears, the moose and the trees :D One of these days I would love to buy my own land and put a nice cabin on it.

  • Thank you guy's for making a dream look achievable. Are yall moved in yet? Congrats with retirement.

  • Great video! We are in the process of buying a lot in Tok (Tetlin Trail) also on a whim with similar ambitions. Was the cabin design your own, or was it built from available plans? If you don't mind who is the log and building material supplier in Tok? Thanks.

  • The design was my own, based on a simple thought that 16 by 28 was big enough for a cabin. There are two log suppliers in Tok and one on the way to Fairbanks in Dry Creek. I got mine from Youngs Timber in Tok. The building supply is Alaska Wilderness Supply. The equipment contractor is Burnham Construction.

  • Thanks for the reply. Keep up the good work! Looks like you're going to have one cozy cabin.

  • It will be a summer home when I retire. The location is centrally located on the road system and the weather mostly dry.
