  • My heart goes out to the Irish people and to Ireland because just like my people the Native Americans other countries came in and took their land like what happen to us Stand tall and Proud my Irish Brothers and Sisters for one day things will change and we will get our lands back....Oh great spirit watch over us and keep us safe.....Aho

  • @spiritwalker30

    Shut up you idiot.

  • @spiritwalker30 Thank u for your kind words. hope your well. greetings from a tiny beautiful island called ireland

  • @spiritwalker30 During the worst period in our countrys history - the famine which started in 1845 during which millions of our people either perished from "needless" starvation or emigrated on what became known as coffin ships from our island, it was the Choctaw tribe who from meagre resources in 1847 raised funds of $170 to help relieve the starvation. This tribe who saw half their population die on the Trail of Tears only shortly before. Your words are not hollow my friend.

  • @cejhireland Are You Still Living In This Shit hole of A Country, Where "Fine Gale" Are Taxing Pensioners. We Would be Better Off Letting The English Keep It. It Breaks My Heart That Our Fathers Died, To Let A Parasite Of A Government Fill Their Pockets From The Suffering Of The Irish. We Are No Better Off Than When The English Ruled. Slan Leat.

  • @Moviethemecollector1

I'd prefer if we could get our country back from the Germans first!!! Reviewing our budget before it was released to us the people says it all.

Yes I am living here in this country and I agree that it is so horrible to think of what our ancestors fought and died for. Independence gone, sovereignty gone, democracy gone.... need I go on.

  • @spiritwalker30 this is northern ireland u american freak, big difference!!n hpoe them indian apaches wipe u out!

  • @spiritwalker30 Tiocfaidh ar lá mo chara, í an lá ndán!

  • I dont want to be negative but Dublin was a dreadful place in the 80's. This song reminds me of the terrible prolonged recession, tragic unemployment, and the horror of massive emmigration. I couldnt even buy a packet of condoms anywhere in my village back then. Things may be bad now, but I think Dublin today is a far better city.

  • @orient1961 What did you need condoms for? you couldn't even find a bird that was riding back in 80's Ireland...lol

  • where ever you are Irish person who posted the first post - know we all have those memories and where ever you are - we always miss our Irish, you're part of us x

  • @ross21085weed because like it or not but travellers are the pure blooded irish

  • @christoir246 true Irish people

  • @ross21085weed ha, best comm ever!

  • @ross21085weed aha. What I was thinking :P.

  • @ross21085weed what i was thinking

  • just me or does anybody else think they sound like reospeedwagon.

  • @HAZLETT16V I think it's just you, I like REO but I think they have a different style, both grate bands. Maybe what happens to you is that you get the same fellings by listening to this and listening to REO.

  • @lasinalma yea you are probily right. but if you listein to his voice they are small simularites. excellent song and band none the less.

  • @HAZLETT16V you are right when it comes to the voice, specially if we take songs like "In my dreams" or "I can't fight this feeling", I insist both great bands!!

  • @HAZLETT16V they do lol i thought the same thing

  • you'd think you'd use 80's images of Dublin !!!

  • ' I remember that gypsy in Dublin' lmao

  • @RedRebel8 - It's not specifically, I don't think, but considering that Crumlin and Drimnagh were Lynnot's neighborhood growing up, I assume the song is set in Dublin... It's the way I've always pictured it anyway.

  • @ dmcc20012 we had fun times there.

  • @navrats hayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ur alive lol

  • @navrats yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lol

  • This song, "Dancing In The Moonlight" by Thin Lizzy and "Rat Trap" by The Boomtown Rats are my three favourite songs about Dublin - they're like a trilogy. One about the good, one about the bad and this is somewhere in between... This from a seventeen year old girl who grew up in Rathfarnham :P

  • @OhSweetChild93 Never knew that Dancing in the moonlight was specifically about Dublin???

  • i like that song, will always remember me "my 3 summer in dublin".

  • Ah, the song is of the 80's and should not be ruined with modern images!

  • love this love dublin

  • cool vid

  • @buloo1234 ah your home town, i love it.

  • these pictures make me happy/sad.....im in greece.........thamks for posting these lovely photos........

  • Starbucks and huddies were not part of the landscape in the 80's! The song is of it's time and should not be spoiled with modern footage.

  • i remember the summer in Dublin !!!

  • Dublin in the '80s, best place on earth. I remember Nova, Sunshine, the Halfway House, the Hole in the Wall, the Breffni Inn and Heartbreakers in the Phoenix Park (although it did change names a few times after that). I like the Dubs, great sense of humour and the girls, smart and sexy. I left in "88 for New York but I still think about what it was like and how it's not like that anymore. Too much rules, regulations and trying to be better than one's neighbour.

  • @knuts1234 Sounds like you're from Navan Road / Cabra. That's where I'm from. Though I live in Singapore now. Love Dublin too :)

  • @knuts1234 lost it all in the celtic tiger,no heritage, only money making, the recession is the best thing to happen to us,made us realise who we are again

  • @knuts1234 that ireland is long gone.

  • @knuts1234 dont forget the heroin in the 80s! and the millenium 50ps!

  • @knuts1234 my mom did that exact same thing :) this is her favourite song

  • i hate this cheap keyboard version

  • love dis song

  • Always reminds of the great days of Nova and Sunshine!

  • Ah my beloved Dublin...God I love my country.

  • Good dlk man...hehe

  • Dubliner by the grace of God :)

  • the slideshow captured Dublin in all it's essence...both the good and the bad...the song is timeless

  • @Harps66

Where was the bad in the video?

  • @FriendlyIrish

the bad are the hoodie skangers and drunks who clog up the liffey boardwalk

  • @Harps66

Would you be referring to the guys with the horses?

  • there still humans, they just have problems, maybe they weren't as lucky in life as you, ye stuck up cunt, fuck you, people like you who think there better than others piss me off

  • @Harps66 i dont suppose you're a "hoodie skanger". i live in naas but i'd bleed to shades of blue. i always said that them lads are knackers but now i'm 14 and i spose theyre my friends now. but anyway deadly song. not enough people know it
