Genious movie -- Wes Craven takes all of the horror movie cliche's and the "rules" and use every one of them to a perfect T as he makes you wonder... who's the killer. Plus Courtney Cox is sooo freaking hoooot ... and to kill of a main star ( Drew Barrymore ) right in the beginning of the movie .. something that you usually never do ... again Wes has to be given alot of credit for re inventing the horror movie genre ...

Also, Randy's in speech here he says "there are certain rules one must abide by in order to successfully survive a scary movie." In the actual film, he says "horror movie" so when they shot this scene, the film must still have been going by its original title which was "Scary Movie".
This movie isn't a comedy and it's not a horror film. It's a satirical parody Wes Craven did on the whole scary movie genre. Yeah it's supposed to be scary, but it's also supposed to be a joke at how stupid people act in horror films. That's why the "It feels like we're in a scary movie" feeling is played so much in the film. So enough with all the arguing if it scares you or not. Some parts are scary, and some parts are meant to be funny.

I watched these films as a kid and they didn't scare me but I liked them because I enjoyed seeing Sydney go from scared girl to bad-ass hero. But now that I watched them again (yesterday the first 2 and today the last one) I love them, I finally get some of the jokes that I didn't back then. ex: I didn't see Nightmare On Elm Street until High-School so I didn't get the joke about the janitor named Fred in the first film until yesterday.
So, not scary but still a great trilogy. Loved it.

I loved this film. The first time I watched it, I was at my friend's house on Holloween. It was when I was about 11, so I did find it sort of scary... But I'm 13 now, and this is definitley one of my fave movies. I don't find it scary now, more like entertaining. I have to say, old horror movies have to be the best. Modern ones are soo rubbish.
I thought (and still do think) that this movie is brilliant. What people don't realise is this movie was taking the piss out of horror films at the time - but unwittingly made one of the best. Also, it introduced the 'game' into horror films i.e. Drew Barrymore dies because she gets the question wrong. Horror movies today are awful. Not only that, most are aimed at 13-16 year olds. I hope Scream 4 is just as good.

this was a great movie,but it was slightly unrealistic because they could've killed sidney many times...but he picks up the knife for momentum or w.e and takes forver,and by the time he's about to stab her,she's punched him and ran away..

If you don't like the movie why are you watching the fucking trailer? People do this on every video and it pisses me off so bad. It's so simple, don't like it, don't watch it.
Scream is my favorite movie. It's funny and scary and suspenseful and all around amazing. Stop disrespecting it.

I loved this film. The first time I watched it, I was at my friend's house on Holloween. It was when I was about 11, so I did find it sort of scary... But I'm 13 now, and this is definitley one of my fave movies. I don't find it scary now, more like entertaining. I have to say, old horror movies have to be the best. Modern ones are soo rubbish.

I thought (and still do think) that this movie is brilliant. What people don't realise is this movie was taking the piss out of horror films at the time - but unwittingly made one of the best. Also, it introduced the 'game' into horror films i.e. Drew Barrymore dies because she gets the question wrong. Horror movies today are awful. Not only that, most are aimed at 13-16 year olds. I hope Scream 4 is just as good.

this was a great movie,but it was slightly unrealistic because they could've killed sidney many times...but he picks up the knife for momentum or w.e and takes forver,and by the time he's about to stab her,she's punched him and ran away..

One of Wes Craven's best work.A personal favourite of mine.I thought the death of Drew Barrymore's character was a very graphic and quite shocking opening sequence to the film.The best death scene in the series has to be Randy's death in scream 2.

Scream is the best horror I've ever seen. Well, something along those lines. I don't think you can call it a horror. Thriller, slasher ... gutter? But not a horror. Either Scream isn't a horror movie, or horror movies just aren't that scary.
