Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but to say they are shit live is unfair.

OK, Tim may not be the greatest singer in the world, but he never proclaims to be.

Sometimes it isn't all about the sound, sometimes its just about the VIBE a band creates and the Charlatans fall into the latter.

Ian Brown and the Roses sound poor live, but their vibe is awesome.... The Charlatans vibe - from experience - is fantastic.

Only Tim Burgess is from Northwich!!!

The band started in Birmingham and all the ORIGINAL members were from the local area. The Charlatans played at my local when they were first starting out.

I think I am old enough to remember Madchester I'm 35! The Charlatans were a band connected with the Madchester/Baggy scence you correct but the fact is they originate from Birmingham.

Why does everyone think Bands are always from Manchester I heard someone (a Manc) say Kasabian were from Manchester the other day (actually it's Leicester) and then Primal Scream are often said to be a Manchester band (by Manc's their actually from Glasgow and then there is the famous Manchester Band the Artic Monkeys (actually from Rotherham) stop trying to claim the whole music scene is from Manchester just 'cus you no longer have a good music scene.

Sounds a little like Zeppelin's Night Flight. I was actually searching for The Charlatans, a 60's psych band. I guess there are no lawyers worried about the duplicate name. These guys are pretty good though.
