Yeah, you're right. He is a modern day player. But what Detroit needs is some post scoring and I think he plays smart and plays around the rim enough to satisfy. And shooting from twenty feet isn't such a bad thing when he can take it off the dribble. He's an upgrade from Sheed camping out in the land beyond. Defensively, not an upgrade but I don't see that as being a glaring issue. I hope he signs for around $8M.

As an individual defender he is mediocre. And you're right. Sheed is the best post defender in the league. No one would be a defensive upgrade over him. Whatever team signs him (Boston, San Antonio) will have a huge matchup advantage over Orlando.

I think Joe D has a few million left to sign a big man.

Still, though. They are really thin up front. I hope he can pull off a trade with Rip.

I already miss Rip.......I think he's gone. You're right, we don't need Boozer. I think Chandler would be ok though, we have to get some defender and he's the best one I know that's available besides Camby.

im sure any center would be available for the right price but i would no way want chandler due to the fact hes almost always injured... same for boozer.. all they need is someone consistent and young to play the c.... hopefully maxiell will step up big... but to get somebody next year they need to move rip badly...

He's a modern day player: he's tall but still fires away from 20 feet, no post game, especially if he gets bumped, and no real d. Even though the bucks should have signed and traded him, there's a reason they're letting him go.

trust me 2010 Joe was not getting a big name Star. He did good to me got some young cats who are reaching their prime and hope they can develop in stars. I say give it another 3 years they'll be prime again for a title run
