this would have been around the time that Depeche Mode and their sound was very popular ...people would have had similar sounds then. If you listen to any top 40 station now you hear music that sounds very similar, and that includes vocal styles.

I loved this group. I loved that fact that they were white guys doing music that mostly done by inner-city Puerto Rican (freesyle music) I remember all Puerto Ricans used to jam this song in particular. Yes, I'm aware that some consider them new wave, however, here in the Northeast, the dance stations in Philly, New York and the Boss 97 in NJ used to always play them. They were so cool.

I remember jammin' to these guys in the clubs in Philly in the mid-to-late 80s! I just purchased "Greatest Hits//Strange Haircuts...." and "Peace and Love Inc." I can't stop playing them both. I also can see how InSoc has influenced Dance/Techno/Trance music still today!
