but then when he died, people realized, shit without him, there is no nirvana, That's why he became bigger in death! And the reason why he will remain the last real rock star to ever live is because of the impact that his band (which he was the creative force for) did on the way we viewed music in the early 90's and the impact it made on the music industry itself, whether we liked the band or not. Because of the term " alternative ", there is no room to create anything new anymore in rock!

Nirvana were fairly big but only got massive after Kurt died. I was about 13 when he died and after that everyone started listening. Before that most people didn't even know who he was. Remember I said most, not all. I am just giving my honest opinion. I am not trying to put the band down. I also think that Nirvana unintentionally destroyed music. After Nirvana everyone started going grungy. Everyone just wanted to sound like them and that led to music becoming dull and lacking originality.

I dont think he was the 'last real' rockstar'. He would of hated that term and it is only others that put him in that light. He wrote songs and played guitar, he made some money but didnt like the rockstar image and fake lifestyle. he went against that grain but in doing so created a new grain that others now consider cool. he was the anti rockstar.
