this is my favorite castlevania song. there is a great sadness to it, it has great melancholic weight, it's very mournfull, very lonesome and lonely. it's full of heart ache and heartbreak. I think it represents what the character is feeling, as it is early on in his quest and he has a long lonely road ahead of him.

@Deanobucko917 what a great interpretation... I thought the same thing. Every time I listen to this song the only image that comes to mind is a warrior that is risking everything to kill a greater evil despite the odds. Nobility and Sadness is definitely a common theme in this track. I'm not even ashamed to say I have shed a tear or two listening to this song non stop. I love the Castlevania series...
