After the shot is almost full, add a small amount of blue curacao. After it settles, add grenadine syrup. A small detail I use :-) cheers

I used to drink this back in 81-4 so this has been around awhile. The one I had wasnt made w/ peach snapps, *cant remember what tho. Not a fan of peach snapps. The bailey's was poured over a spoon very slowly. The drink was 3 layers that seperated into 3 distinct layers. The baileys if done properly looks like a little rat brain floating in the drink. Great drink tho !

I'm kinda curious though..Is it possible to change the Peach Schnapps with something else that is clear, like say Creme De Cacao, or does the Schnapps have to be a fruit based Schnapps?

@benda316 You are making a "dead fetus" or "aborted fetus" depending on your location. A brain hemorrhage has less peach schnapps and a tad more baileys to create the effect of a brain, and the grenadine is suppose to coat the baileys (which is difficult giving the gravity of it) to give it a more bloody coating look as opposed to the blood sitting at the bottom (tip: pour it slowly in a circle a 1/4 away from the edge of the glass than in the middle)

That's the way I make mine, too. Layer the Baileys on top, then let the grenadine work with gravity.

I'm guessing they did away with The Abortion? It's the exact same ingredients as this shooter, but The Abortion is layered. Then again I first tried it when I was 15 (oops, older siblings are bad for your health, lol) and that was over 10 years ago. I can feel the coagulation going down my throat with The Abortion. Fun shooter!

WHy the hell does everyone make these terribly presented brain hemmorhages?  If you take your time and slowly pour in a tad amount of baileys it will form a ball at the bottom, then a grendadine drop or two sinks straight down to the ball and it actually looks like a brain down there.
