I am sorry for the quality of my videos. It was the best i could do at tHAT time.was just stuff i never found or most people would not be seeing even if its not the best quality..For those that enjoy it.thank u..
Not a cook like a chef. I meant for it to be pronounced "k-oo-k ("U" sound"), as in a crazy person. It's just that calling someone with OCD in a time when it was not even diagnosed as a crazy person is ignorant and people do it all the time. If you have billions of dollars, people around you tend not to tell you 'no'. With that kind of money you can afford to indulge even the most lavish impulses and OCD-isms. The man was a genius, but unfortunately he's often misunderstood.
Seriously?? OMFG!!!! Why do people tape things off a TV and post it on Youtube?!?! WHY? What a shame for such awesome material. There is no excuse in this day and age. Guess I should be greatful it's on here (sort of) ... it's really annoying. Seriously, get out of 1980's and joy the former soviet republics and get into the late 90's dude.
@NewAKS86 I hate how people call him "a cook with money" (Steve Wynn said this in an interview) or a "nutcase". He had OCD and money to indulge the behavior that accompanied OCD. Today we don't see OCD as a big deal and a lot of famous people have it (David Beckham for instance). I know people with OCD and they suffer from it. Howard Hughes was no cook or nutcase. He was a genius and a patriot who accomplished a lot. I wish people would put OCD in perspective when talking about Mr Hughes.
@drewnwalker : Hmmm, I don't remember anything mentioning him about being a cook. He WAS multitalented, but I don't remember cooking being one of those talents. I could be wrong. Why would people care if he is a cook with money ... look at Julia Childes and Martha Stewart!
@drewnwalker did know people who've studied Hughes have complained about ocd behavior afterwords.. very true.. for instance loe dicaprio had this experience.
Between 3:32 and 4:01, I realized that when you've got eyes like Howard Hughes's, you don't need to shout. God, can you imagine if you did something wrong around him- he'd shingle your attic! Lol
Senator Brewster looks like the sleaziest, slickest, typecast ultra-corrupt politician ..

Great stuff. An interesting take on Hughes and the behind-the-scenes big money machinations is in "The Yankee and Cowboy War" by Carl Oglesby.

It's too bad there was nothing known about his OCD or he could've gotten treatment and been even MORE productive with his life than he already was.

True.At the same time it was his OCD that in a sense gave him the ability to get it done right and above all others of his time..I could be wrong..

@4jeremylynchem Actually i'd say you are spot on. My housemate is OCD, and that drives him to get some of the most amazing work i've ever seen done.
Btw i won't ask for the title of the doco, i read the previous answers lol. Now i gotta find it.
