@z239z94 Although they may not be they really help beginners when they are learning their toe side turns, a lot of times when starting out they will fall forward. It's best if they actually used their knees instead of their wrists to break their fall.
@chrisdevil101 He is not standing still. Are you totally blind? He is going down a mountain! Did you really not get that from the video? Maybe watch it again. He is also linking turns fairly well for a beginner. Well done you, for doing an ollie! An ollie is basically just jumping off the ground, I imagine that must have been difficult for you, being blind and all, but what this guy is doing requires much more balance and skill.
my first day i was stupid and tried some 180s i didnt even come close to landing it but i started just concentrate on getting balance and that is how i learned now i can do rails and stuff
best thing to go right now is, go down the hardest kills(black diamonds) gets the you better way faster, well atleast that how i leard im goin down mountains in utah, and colorado after 2 years =)
omg i remeber my first day... LOL i my 2 older cuzins told me to go to the top with them. me being little i did fell getting off the lift fell a tun of times about 1/2 way down the MT i thot i had it but i got to chisem or how ever u spell it ( a slope at MT high ca.) went to fast culdent stop and ran over my cuzin lol by the end of the day i did 2 jumps!!!! so if u want to learn rele fast like me get to cuzins and go to the top and learn your way down!!
you only ride your toeside, need to add healside. when I started I did healside only and the "falling leaf" haha, much easier when you learn both toeside and healside.
Very nice! Learning curve is steep but short for snowboarding. You're well on your way. A lot of people get stuck in the beginner "leaf drop" method and cannot connect turns.
Hey man you look great for your first run but as futkilelr said you need to loosen up more, you seem kindof resist the flow of the board, When you turn dont resist letting your body flow with the board. Goodluck nest season.
Woow , very good for the first time
