Depicter of these picture may wanted our imam to look as ordinary as we are. We should be sensible enough not to depict imam's pictures like in Sikhism for there saints they do. Many other Sahabas had good virtues too e.g Abu Bakr, Umar , Abu Hurirah they had good virtues too. Saying Ya Ali Madad is Shirk
It is Shirk to say such things as Ya Ali Madad (O Ali, help us). Indeed, we should only call out with Ya Allah Madad. Only Allah and Allah alone can hear and answer our prayers. Thus, we should only go to Him and Him alone for help. We see that the very basic foundation block of Shiism is rooted in Shirk.

We Love Prophet Muhammad and His family more than ourselfs. Thats y the likes of us (Salman; Abu Zarr, Miqdad) were there to support the Prophet in every battle. Not like your scary cat leaders who ran off faster than a Jaguar.

Prov me thru ur books (bukhari, etc) that Ali was sunni. As far as shia is concerned, it is mentioned in the Quran:- "Wa inna min Shiatihi la ibrahim."(37:83) "" And Verily among his Shias was Ibrahim.And wht you say tht Wasila between Allah is Shirk than you have made another religion because Allah Himself in Quran is commanding us:" Ya ayuhal lazina amanu itaqullaha waibtagho ilayhil waseelata..."
(5:35) "O ye who believe! Do your duty to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him..."

Sorry akhi, but after reading the comments, some of you do. You may not. I don't talk for anyone, I only comment on what I observe. Some of what is said here is completely opposite of what is taught in Quran, Nahjul Balagha, and works by Tabata'i, Khomenie, Sistani Khoie etc. Study at Howzah for a few years and then educate me akhi.
