i welcome you guys to our school.

your new school, and i hope you have an awesome senior year with strokes (:

  • penis sack

  • im pissed off i loved going to skool this year but now its closing and i have to staert all over :(((

  • Father Rice is an amazing man. Our family loves and supports him in every way. When he had to leave our parish, half of our parish followed him to St. John. apfelblosm you should be ashamed of yourself posting that kind of language. You are not a very gor representative of St. John thats for sure!

  • hey apfelblosm dont blame father rice he didnt want the school to close!!!! he just made the announcments. so stop spreading rumors when they arent true!!!

  • Great video, Class of '03 here, and i cant believe they are closing the school - it might be a small school and not the typical "catholic" high school, but it was the best times of my life and every friend i have today was someone that i met at st. johns high.

  • I was student at st.johns HS until I had to move away last year and I say this is a touching video to me. I want my to know I am sorry for your loss. My name is Jose Palos and I want my friends to know I was happy to be with all of you and will try to come to St.Louis to see what shall happen and remember the times I had here.

  • Hey Jose, it's jake shackelford, how you been, ill need to look you up on facebook. Haven't seen you since soccer season "jos-b"

  • Only someone from the soccer team would remember my nickname. It has been a very long time dude. If could please add me as a friend.

I have a lot of questions. Thanks for replying.

  • apfelblosm aka. Jennifer Keith class of 1998. Your commentary is extremely hate filled. Lacking the proper public forum and adequate evidential matter to support your claim(s) is a sure way to ensure that your claim(s) are promptly discarded as the rantings of a person who lacks the ability to resist either slander or detraction (from a Catholic morality standpoint) I pray that you take what I have stated as a charitable fraternal correction.

  • First you have no right stating my name or any other information about my, as you are trying to directly bring me harm. Secondly, perhaps you should read my comment again as it is MY OPINION which I have a right to due to my first amendment rights as well as not being LIBEL not slander. I don't even know who you are as I don't know any 54 year olds, so perhaps you should put your name out there? Have you been at that school since 2000? If not, I have a little more insight then you.

  • comment was for jasonsoco, not for anyone else. Thank you again, Joe for a wonderful show of talent for SJB. Good luck to you and to all the teachers who now will struggle to fill the void left by the exit if SJB.

  • i think that Saint Johns should Stay open i'm really disapointed. this video is a really good one i've at least watched it 7 times. Who knows maybe this vid will change their mind.

  • nope it failed :)

  • Joe, this was a very moving film. I'd say you are well on your way to being a film director, movie maker. I believe that if anything can be done to bring the high school back, if not this year, next year, your film will have made an impact. Ms. Williams

  • Wow. I'm class of '90. Monica Wamser hasn't changed a bit. I can't believe the school will soon be no more.

I wish you all the best of luck. Try not to think of this as the end, but as a chance to grow and find new and great things.

  • This really sucks that its closing down i was going to go there next year and Father Rice just ants the high school gone. Its sad but theres nothing i can do.

  • Joe, you did a great job on this which just goes to show the incredible talent that is at SJB. Father Rice is a fire-breathing F***head who has been trying to shut down that school since he was assigned there so that the archdiocese could get their money through those students going to a school like DuBourg. He as single-handedly ruined my alma mater. (just my opinion) I wish the students and teachers all the best for the coming year and the final days. St. John's will be greatly missed.

  • why would you say something about father rice like that its not his fault

  • i dont blame him for everything but he didnt tell us this when he found out and maybe the StuCo could have did something i wouldve made the,m do something and my brother is one of those "little miracles" he was suicidal before he came to skool at sjh and now hes perfectly normal thats the only skool where you can be your crazy self and still fit in

  • This video is a prime example of the talent of St. John's students. Very well done Joe.

    I hope it works !!

  • With the changing dynamics of South St. Louis, I'm surprised that St. John's has remained open this long....another loss to the "once-strong" grip that private schools had in St. Louis City...unfortunately, the "government-run" STL City schools are a travesty, and the boys certainly do not want to go to St. Mary's (breathe fire)...God Speed & Good Luck to the students and faculty...!!! (Keep Bishop DuBourg HS in mind...they have done a great job of educating for over 50 years...!!!)

  • thats where most of the student are going even though we hate that skool
