I always imagined Nora to have a less deep voice, and Helmer to look different somehow. It might be that he looks too smart here. Also, I don't think Nora would ever carry all those boxes by herself.

I and my parents were workiing in garden and I enter in house to take something and I look at TV on which this was on. I wholly agree with this statement. Henrik Ibsen's work carries so much meaning and subtlety that it's not fully portrayed in the movie as when you can read it for yourself.

@nswick1 exactly ,i read it and the characters just feel different, i mean nora sounds a lil bit like a child in the play , it feels as if she should have a high pitched kind of voice , and torvald sounds like an immature prince, specially at the end

*cracks up so hard whenever Nora begs for money* Ohhhh, that was a stroke of sheer genius. The scene was quite marvelously acted, I must say-- on both their parts, and I love the atmosphere set by the director! 5'd and fav'd, for sure!
