The stamina secretariat had, been at times compared to carbine,,carbbine could run 4000 meters with 62 kilos on his back and ran and won a melbourne cup(3200) carrying 64.5 kilos.. doin this pulling away from the field in the straight...SECRETARIAT didnt come close to carrying the wieghts carbine did but the way he could run out a 2000 to 2400 meter race suggest that he could easily carry wieght like the way carbine did

The big heart gene is not found in Nearco or Northern Dancers bloodline that is why i say St. Simone is more influential on that side of the bloodline.Lets just say they both were influential in this bloodline ok bud

fklifter i also agree with you mate :) northern dancer is also one of the most influencial sires ever ... probably more influencial for the fact is he met more mares but if you go by comparison on how many horses he made and how many wins ratio and the same with northern dancer!! you will see that carbines percentages are better...direct decandant...

One of the best race horses and sires ever in the world and northern dancer that great candain racer carried that great jean and also set a standard ,,and showed just how strong this bloodline is..

Beautiful video, i am a huge fan of Sunline and this video teared me up , such a loss at such a young age, the greatest champion and i follow her legacy with her foals racing. She gave me the love for the game and now i have my own thoroughbreds, i was only young when she was racing now im 21. This is a wonderful tribute to a great, great mare. Living in the USA I had not heard of her until she was sick. She touched my heart and as I learned more about her I grew to love her.
I do alternative atlernative/complimentary treatments on horses (healing touch and acupuncture) and I kept Sunline first in my prayers. WHAT A FIGHT! She didn't make it but she was always a champion. God bless her foals.
A lovely tribute to a truly international champion. I particularly liked the pics of her as a Mum! I still miss her.
