I prefer this version.....I've heard it in the other versions and to me, it really strikes a spot in my heart in this version. I love it when Barry doesn't sing in falsetto....perhaps because it doesn't happen often but he is incredible just the same.

This isn't fuzzy, but I'm stating it anyway. If you don't want to read it, then don't. I am so sick of machine-made music and its avatars I want to upchuck. I will not commit my brain to an adroid. So Barry and Robin (and, Robin, I know you've been ill, so I understand the sabattical) as well as Steve Perry and other great musical artists, why don't you step up to the plate and rescue the world of music? MOFANSHK, thank you for this upload. Even though I enjoy Celine Dion's version, the "closest to the heart" versions for this and other Bee Gees' songs are better to me when watching and hearing the Bee Gees' own performance of their contributions to the music world. All four of the Gibbs boys made phenomenal contributions to the world of music. I agree with Robert Stigwood that theirs is a rare natural talent that was honed to perfection by the artists themselves. God bless to the Bee Gees.

These artists came to my country in 1998 and gave such a warm concert as if the first time in their lifes. So kind and professional. I admire them deeply since I am a little child and I thank them for share their talent with all of us. Love u!!!!!

No, the version on The Record was recorded before this concert, you weren't supposed to hear it of course, its a demo, he sings it in falsetto so its in Celine's range, he did that with all the Guilty and Heartbreaker demo's as well from Striesand and Warwick.;)

It was touched up for release, but the vocal is the same and so is most of Maurice's piano,

It was recorded in October 1996, once recording for Still Waters was complete, the band who play the demo were just the live band who live in Miami.

The demo for this song was recorded in 1998.

@ninmmm Bit of a late reply but here goes .... this particular performance is in a different key which perhaps Barry cannot sing high enough for specific parts of the song. Also falsetto places huge strain on the voice and he was probably simply giving himself a well deserved rest from previous songs sung in falsetto at this time. I'll admit his performance in ''natural voice'' is fantastic but this song sounds even better in falsetto!
