    "Sa-Wad-dee Krup", even if I am speaking to a man or woman?

  • Chai krap.

  • men can say "kaa" also but you would only say it to your girlfriend during moments of tenderness.

  • I really want to learn Thai. Thank you very much! - Richard, Philippines

  • ohhh... you have a beautiful voice! I really like your lessons^^ its easy to understand and you are Good at explaining<3

  • I could listen to you teach Thai all day your English excellent and your voice is beautiful more lessons please.

  • Because Thailand is a beautiful country with friendly people and rich culture: outstanding tourist attraction, nice beaches, unique architecture, delicious food and graceful manner of Thai people. Sex Industry, mostly shown in international media, was just a part of the whole. I admit that there are some sick people who go there just for that. In fact, prostitution is everywhere, not only in Thailand also numerous cities in Asian and European countries.

  • Stop posting this everywhere, Mildparena.

  • more thai lessons! :o)

  • wow!!!..this is more better!!..cool.

    whenever i watch thai movies..i want to learn and hear what they're saying..

    nice lesson!

  • In other words, speaking Thai is almost

    as if you're humming the words.

  • Krup means "Sir"

    Kaa means "Mam"

    You also have to learn how to sing a song.

    Speaking thai is not choppy.

    English use the vioce chord(throat).

    Thai use the nassel.

    It's the same when trying to make correct

    pronunciations in english. There are many words with simular sounds, such as:

    right, write, kite, bite, night, fight, lite, light

  • i really love ur way of teaching thai. more lessons coming up? would like to learn more.. well done n keep it up!

  • oh gosh finally I got something ..!!

    this is easy to understand, unlike other online lessons.

    Thanks.

  • THANKS! I'm going next month and this definitely helps!

  • I LIKE YOU'ER TEACH WAY~~~

  • that's fantastic!

  • I do LOVE thai <3!! thanks for sharing ;_;

  • excelent

  • Good video on teaching Thai.

  • try your best to imitate her.....okay...

  • the author neglected to mention that thai is a tonal language. this means that words sounding the same spoken in different tones mean different things.

    examples:

    "ma" high pitch and flat -----> to come

    "ma" high pitch and rising ----> a horse

    "ma" low pitch and flat -----> a dog

  • Yes, newbies must understand the 5 tones/pitches (mid, low, high, falling, rising) before trying to pronounce words! But, you got the tones/meanings wrong (I use 'maa' to indicate the long vowel):

    'maa' mid pitch -> to come

    'maa' high pitch -> horse

    'maa' rising pitch -> dog

  • waw that was amazing. i want moree

  • thank alot.

  • In Chiang Mai, people say jao instead of khaa, is that right?

  • exactly

  • hello its verry good thank you koob khun krup

  • kurp is for men ka is for lady

    so i m a guy i will oways be using kurp no matter if i'm speakin to a lady or men right ?

    lik i shld use pom & not chan cuz i'm a guy

    right ?

  • the answer for both question is yes. i kno its a month late, but i thought i should reply anyways. but u can use "chan" as well, but it sounds weird sometimes. i cant really explain it. it suits someone, but doesnt suit others? hope that helps.
